Mamma Africa Restaurant
Delicious food with a huge variety of things on the menu. Wanted to try a bit of everything but the Kai wot (spicy beef) was very tasty. Tried the chicken suqaar and dal medames also, very great range of flavors and variety of spice levels. Many of the dishes come with your choice of side and the ugali, injera and crispy flatbread all enhanced the meal. I will definitely come back to try more dishes! Great place to take friends, there are large tables and booths.

Came in last night with my African friends who wanted to show me some African cuisine as I’ve never had it before, the owner was overwhelming friendly, and the food was delicious! If you’re looking for African cuisine I would definitely recommend coming here!

Cons - slow service, found two hairs in the rice, ran out of lamb so served us the fat and bones instead of pre warning usPros - tasty food, lovely manager, did not charge us for the dishes with the cons mentioned aboveSummary - I do not recommend if you are in a rush or do not like hairy food

If you like African food (and you're not afraid of spicyness!) you just HAVE to give it a try ! The owner is a really nice and easy-going guy who makes you feel right at home, food is really tasty and serving size is more than generous, service is somewhat slow but well worth it. Everything here screams relaxed" and "simple".They also do caterings

My partner and I finally attended Mamma Africa and the place lives up to its reputation.It is a family business that strives to provide the best experience to its customers. The lovely gentleman that served us was very interesting and helped us chose what to eat amongst the many dishes.We had the combo dish which provided us with a great variety of the food Somalia can offer.Looking forward to returning to discover the rest of the menu.

A hidden gem in Perth, located in Nollamara shopping centre with lots of parking available. Family run business with attentive owner who was friendly enough to explain and discuss food options. Perfect place if you want to try out some thing different, authentic East African HALAL food. Prices are reasonable and portions are large enough, hence it is value for the money paid. Good feel nice flavours. I would go back there again when I am in Perth.Did not like being insisted to pay by cash, as I was told to walk out to the ATM and bring cash which I didn't but managed to pay by card.I recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves to explore food cultures.

It was great for our first time trying Somalian cuisine. We ordered iskukaris (briyani) beef, maraq ari (soup) that served with chapaati or rice (we chose chapaati) samosa. The portion of main meals was generous, even the chapaati was served for 2 persons. Food were tasty! Especially maraq ari. Definitely will come back for trying other menus. The price is worth value for money.

Can say without hesitation this is one of the most underrated restaurants in Perth. Absolutely incredible food for great prices and lovely family style service. You won't regret it ❤️
