Wow there are just so many issues in architecture and it seems like they just contribute to them and don't help.

The bald midget with the beard needs to learn a few manners. Just trying to pay my annual fee mate.

I lodged a complaint re the architect (Brett Tuer) in charge of a project. He was in a relationship with the owner. He chose to not inform me when signing the contracts or throughout the build. At the end, he moved in with the client into an unfinished house and when I insisted he pay all outstanding invoices, including variations he had approved in writing, he terminated the contract. Tha ARBV determined he did nothing wrong and there was no conflict of interest. What the hell is then a conflict of interest. As useless as can be. There to protect the architects.

I am probably the only architect prepared to post a comment about the ARBVI sued a client and pretty much won all my claim, costs and interest. The person affected made sure I ended up before the tribunal after 32 years of experience by making three complaints. The problem is the legal people involved in the legal matter are far greater qualified than the members of the tribunal, often up to the level of QC so any result does not assist the public or architects. Their determinations are often only opinion or completely incorrect. In other words it serves no purpose to anyone. The Architects Act is a poorly drafted piece of legislation that is used as they wish

I can’t believe the ARBV has ditched the architectural services award. They seem to be doing less and less while charging architects more and more.
