Left a huge gap in my roof which then damaged my electrics. Due to time pressures had my handyman fixed and they refuse to compensate. Disgusting.

Disappointing service cost !! A friend of mine recently had to have an easy problem fixed with his skylight which was installed by Solatube a number of years ago. The light reflector fell down and needed to be refitted in the skylight. It fell down because Solatube used gaffer tape to hold it up in the first place - really ? Solatube quoted $100 - $150 to fix it, and after the repair which was less than half an hour, a bill came through for the top value which was $150 and which Solatube explained was the callout fee. The problem was caused by Solatube in the first place by using gaffer tape to hold the light reflector, and it's probably been fixed using gaffer tape. BAD FORM by Solatube wanting to charge full tote odds for fixing a problem they caused in the first place by a shonky install. My friend paid the bill, but certainly won't recommend Solatube again.
