Good food in a secluded place.S41°39'04.0S E145°04'41.3" You have the possibility to prepare your meals in the kitchen of your self-contained cottage. The general store has some basic necessities. Otherwise

Had an absolutely delicious meal here (best hot chips in the whole of tas, it’s true) and super pleasant service from the sweet French couple working the dinner shift! Also quite delicious coffee the next morning! Super special and beautiful spot. Will be back!

Got here just before 2pm and lunch is only served between 12 and 2pm, but when I asked I was assured it was still all good as long as I ordered before 2pm. The 'Corinna' burger was very tasty and would have been enough for two people. I also liked that it was more like a panini, was easier to eat that way. Great stop for lunch if you are coming past.

Had the falafel wrap with chips. Very tasty and hearty portion. The chef came out front and told me that all the ingredients (including the tahini) were Israeli. Some interesting old photos and signs in and around the interior of the gaffe, as well as the usual overpriced tat in a small souvenir shop space corner. Outside left, there is a great info panel on walks and kayak routes to do in the area, as well as some chained-up factor 50, free sun cream. Food is only served 12-2pm and 6-8pm. Bit weird coming from Europe, but seems to be the quite common in rural Australia. Recommend the nice outward facing seats on the veranda(h).

Unfortunately we didn't eat here. The menu looks fantastic and priced well. We did enjoy a couple ales on the nice verandah, people watching and overlooking the pieman river. We also grabbed a take-away beer to enjoy with our picnic overlooking the river. We plan to come back and stay for a couple of days at the village and enjoy more of what this amazing place has to offer.

Epic steak sandwich and garlic bread after a morning canoeing. Friendly staff as well!

For such a remote location these guys really delivered! Had a great meal and they have a solid selection of local wines/whiskies/beers to go with it. The staff were super helpful (with both the meal and activities/accom in the area). Would recommend.

Great food; a real oasis of niceness in a very remote place. Huge portions and generous with quality ingedients. Very good service also (would recommend Melissa, and the young man behind the bar who worked like an octopus, doing 4 things at once).
