I'm not going to lie, when I first saw I had an appointment with Matchworks, I was honestly pretty terrified. My EC is Charlee, from Mount Gravatt, and she has really turned my life around. I went from being unable to leave the house, to becoming excited for our face-to-face sessions. I really had lost hope that I could ever be productive in this life, it is thanks to Charlee I feel as though I'm not only going to be able to leave Matchworks with a sustainable job, but have the knowledge and experience to keep providing for myself in the furture, as well. Charlee is amazing at assisting you push through your barriers, she doesn't do everything for you, rather, she helps hold the ladder stable at the bottom as you climb to the top by yourself. Because of this, I am not being babied, nor am I feeling like I am being ignored, Charlee is exceptional with commmunication and is aiding me to become the assertive, proud, and outgoing individual I hadn't realised I was. If this is someone like me in three months, I can only imagine how amazing she will be when it comes to aiding other people, and the outstanding turnaround awaiting them. If only more people with mental health and disabilites were encouraged to speak up, I know it can be difficult. Unlike other jobactive companies, Matchworks helps assist those of all backgrounds, ages, and those with disabilities. I have never once felt like I am pressured into looking for a million jobs a day, and I haven't been treated as just another 'potential worker' for the government. I feel as though I have been seen and acknowledged as a human being, my mental health taken into aspect, and then encouraged to work with them as seen fit. Charlee is a perfect employee for Matchworks, and I'd love to believe that she is a shining example of what the company is made of.

After my injury I was unable to work in my chosen profession. I was lost and unsure of what to do. Not only did I have an injury I was dealing with I also suffered from anxiety which can be debilitating at times. After talking to Charlee who is my EC from Mt Gravatt, she helped me to see that I did have a future. And that even though I am changing careers and facing new challenges. I can overcome this. She offers support and encouragement when needed. Not only have I now got a plan for my future. I am working towards that plan. With attainable goals that Charlee has helped me to create. I am now studying with TAFE and have a career path in mind.Charlee doesn’t just assist in finding you a job, she creates a support network, that encourages people to reach out and not only get support when needed but support others as well. I have now made great new friends within this support network. We celebrate the achievements that we make as well as offer support with the struggles.I don’t know where I would be if it was not for Charlee and the network, she has created.

MatchWorks Mt Gravatt not only helps with finding Employment but also offers Courses and Training to help progress you into a long-term Career. MatchWorks also has a Health and Well-being sector and Disability Employment Service on site to assist with any Barriers that may be preventing you from gaining employment. Highly recommend this Service Provider.

Lovely staff but went there twice when I wasn't even needed once. Go figure.

post covid most industries are a mess and we are travelling hard roads. This office is an absolute pleasure , have not yet met a miserable or nasty human among them! these are good people. tried a couple out to find a good fit. mostly they are pretty awful. thankyou crew at Matchworks Mt Gravatt . haven't met better.
