Tamarind Gardens Tourist Park
New manager Wayne, very dedicated to making improvements. Nice grassy sites. Modern ensuite shower and toilet. Lovely and quiet. Lots of birdlife. Chillagoe caves are 30kms away on unsealed road, so avoid the dust and stay here when you visit the caves, which are amazing.

Wayne and Karen are the best hosts ever, the park beats Chillagoe and Dimbula hands down. Do yourself a favor and stay in Almaden when travelling West from Cairns on night one. Lots of space immaculate facilities the best I have seen in this part of the world. Its a hidden secret, just don't tell too many people just yet! Walking distance to the local cool little outback pub. A short drive to Chillagoe and the caves, I can't wait to visit again soon.

Caretakers doesn't know the rules. A lady let us take wood for the firepit and the guy came to check if we were taking the wood that we were allowed. Apparently some firepit are for wood and other for I don't know.

What a great caravan park!Lovely caretakers, Karen and Wayne, have done a fantastic job in the park!We have a large rig, and this park has plenty of room!The amenities are very clean, and gardens are very well maintained.These guys have so much pride in their park. A small piece of paradise!Or yeah, they love HAPPY HOUR! ♡♡

We only left this beautiful caravan park this morning and already we wish we were back. We had a very relaxing 6 nights, plenty of place to park, very clean ementies, awesome camp kitchen with everything you need, great pool & fire pit. Karen & Wayne were great hosts and very laid back and easy to get on with, we will miss our chats!!! Would recommend this park to everyone who needs to just lay back and relax. Easy drive to Chillagoe (30kms) to visit the caves and Balancing Rock. We will definitely be back!!!

If you want fire wood it is $10 a bag or you can find your own in the bush. We no longer provide it free as people were taking advantage of use and steeling large amounts.

Tamarind Gardens Tourist Park
Accommodation was very good, a real surprise. The bed was comfortable and it was very clean. The only complaint was that the tv wouldn't work. It is hooked up to Foxtel, but we were unable to make it work.The caretakers were friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome.
