Cossack Historic Town
Passed through quickly while in the area but wish we had more time to soak in the history. The cafe had a resident Joey being nursed to adulthood. There is a wonderful gallery of local art and historic buildings.

Worth visiting this quaint historic town,they have worked hard restoring the buildings .Plenty of info ,letting you know how it was back in the day .Ensure you also take a look at cemetery and Settlers beach plus the lookouts

Loved the old buildings.Shame the Cafe wasn't open the day we were there.If you take the road towards the cemetery and go up to the lookout you will get a 360 view of the area.Well worth a visit.

Cute little spot. If you're in the area and interested in history there's a self propelled walking tour that you can take around the town to get some info about years gone by.There's a cafe, but not much else there now.

Worth a visit. Interesting history and restored buildings. Can get good lunch at cafe. Cemetery and old site lots of information.

Cossack Historic Town
Some good examples of early Australian buildings. Some sad stories of tough times - a young girl and tetanus, and dangerous jobs like pearling. The landscape is stunning and the waterway by the wharf is impressive - big tides. From the carpark at the end of Reader Header Road you can see massive ships along the horizon and across the water a little island with a light house and some old buildings.

What a cool little place to spend a few hours. Historic ghost town.. pretty place... nice little museum and thank you to the lovely lady who let us bring our puppy. A small donation is a bargain. The cafe was closed and very limited food or coffee out this way so byo. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful buildings interesting reading the historical signs adjoining each one.Unfortunately the only shop in town was closed and the woman in the museum couldn't be bothered acknowledging us throughout our visit more interested in looking at the computer.
