Square Gardens

Had a large project done recently in our new block with retaining walls and step fencing. Their supervisor was helpful and also organised engineering report for our wall. Guys worked promptly and professional. Love the job and highly recommend these guys.

I would give this place a 0/5. Quoted a job, planned to do it on a certain date, my parents took our difficult dog away (at their expense) during those dates to give the workers time to complete the job, only to return home and find they had never turned up. Now they are ignoring our calls. I then spoke to the accountant from this “company” who told me my mothers terminal illness is my fault. Disgusting, I recommend no one uses this poor excuse for a business. Can’t wait to see their reply to my post, they know damn well I am right.

Thieves. Square Gardens is the most unprofessional and unethical business I have ever dealt with. They asked for a 50% deposit ($1000) prior to commencing which I paid. I then had to constantly follow them up for a start date. They then sent out a labourer who spent three hours on site. He worked for two hours and spent one hour on his phone on Facebook Messenger. He then left without saying anything.I then had to chase them over and over. They don't reply to emails and SMS messages and when they finally did, they kept stalling blaming the weather. After more chasing, they initially offered to refund me deposit, then they changed their mind and only gave me back $600, saying they had to retain $400 to pay with worker. They also said they'd rather not work for someone who was stressing so much - I just wanted the job done.After all this I managed to hire another company to do the job who showed up the next day with three staff anf finished the job in half a day.Do not hire these guys and don’t pay them a cent.I only gave them one star because I couldn't post this review without selecting a star rating.

0/5! We contracted square gardens through recommendation and the experience was extremely disappointing. At the beginning they couldn't even read the engineering design specs and we ended up with a retaining wall out of spec! They then redid the wall from scratch and charged us double. the whole project got dragged for 5 months always blaming the weather or their machinery being broken. Eventually we had to put an end to this miserable experience with project being half done. Square gardens cuts corners on materials and workmanship to save themselves money. I have never ever dealt with any business so unprofessional and unethical!*Not a competitor!* i was your customer and you don't even bother to say sorry!

We had a complicated project on Grange beach with sandy soil and a 2.4m high retaining wall at the backyard with narrow access,They helped me with an engineer, council approval and indemnity insurance, within a month everything was set up for a project to start. Alex has been professional in every aspect and managed his team to complete the job on time.We have also engaged them to do our lawn and driveway. Highly recommend this company. We will come back with our next project.Thank you guys!.

I am the supervisor for a local builder and we use Alex and square gardens to do all our landscaping.He and his team are reliable and professional in the works they carry out. I'm extremely happy with the final product and will continue to use square gardens as our preferred trade.
