Wish I had read these before staying. Great views. But terrible experience. Some lights and fans don't work. Noise transfer from the above unit is so loud. Can hear them using the toilet at 1am. And 3am. And 4am. And they were either setting up fishing rods and dropping their lead weights, or playing a game of marbles at 5am. Then their neighbour came out onto the balcony and started screaming at them to quiet down, at 5:30am. So not much of a sleep was had, and can't recommend this to others. Sorry.

On arrival, we received a warm welcome from reception. The basement parking was easy and convenient. The bedroom was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. We had beautiful sea views from our balcony. The location was excellent, next to shops, cafes, and bars. Only had to use the Car for a 30mins or so drive to the Caves. We stayed Easter midweek, Town was quiet, so easy to go everywhere, (Suprising for 2nd Easter week.). You could see where the hotel have been making improvements. The only improvement in our bedroom possibly would be a lick of paint where the furniture has rubbed on one of the walls. We had a really relaxing, comfortable stay and if the other rooms are the same, would definitely recommend it to our family and friends.Overall, good value, great location, comfy, clean room.

Let me take the opportunity to review this place after my 5 nights stay in room 401. I was so happy to have the initial conversations prior to booking with Jen and Pat. They were very honest and great to chat with and they were very helpful. It’s the conversation with these two staff over the phone which enable me to complete my booking. Great customers services and friendly. They are so easy to chat with and will assist you in any way they can. The staff including Kris are just amazing and they will ensure you are well looked after during your staff. I have a few conversations with housekeeping staff, and they were indeed a delight to chat too as well.Building – next to the sea therefore you will expect the place to be affected by the salt water. The rooms are privately owned so it will all look different and therefore it’s of no fault of the staff. The owners are the ones who need to read the feedback and make the required changes. Parking – limited parking onsite but don’t worry you can park on the read road and areas around the hotel as well. Rooms on arrival your room will smell of dampness but simply open the doors and windows and you will soon start to smell the sea and the breeze. 401 was very clean and the floor was literally shinning, and the linen were clean. My room had 2 sugarcane furniture and there is no need for that, so I suggest that the open remove it as it looks tacky and takes the nice feel of the room. Room has all the facility that you can use. Mostly important to note here that there is no daily housekeeping so if you need anything get it from reception or ask the housekeeping staff. Cleaning equipment was provided in the room to ensure you kept the basic keeping needs yourself. Location - can’t fault anything here. Views - I can’t say anything negative here.Overall comment. I suggest owners read and action reviews from guest so that the staff are not held accountable for your inadequacy. It’s not the staff fault at all how the rooms look as its owned individually, so I suggest before you book have a chat with Jen and Pat so that you are well informed as to what you are booking and paying for. They really made my stay 5 star stay. Great places around to eat and sightseeing nearby. Be kind to the staff s they are not responsible for owners’ lack of upkeep of the rooms. Great place to stay but the rooms you get will be the draw of the luck. I asked many questions and was lucky to get a room that I liked and was very happy with. 401 does not have a stove but has small cooking top that you can use. Has a microwave and slow cooker and fridge, everything you need to cook it’s there but no need to cook in the room as there are so many restaurants which sells great food next door, and it has red roaster across the road and domino’s pizza only 4 minutes’ walk as well. i enjoyed my stay here and as per my comment always chat with reception staff prior to booking for support and guidance.

The only thing this place had going for it was the location perfect walking distance to everything…but we booked a premium ocean view room but was given a room on the first floor that looked directly onto an old roof. It was very disappointing. Looked nothing like the pictures as advertised. Messaged the reception directly through the site I booked through about this as we checked in late and then we’re out all the next day so unable to go down to talk to them and they never even replied or responded. While it was tidy and appeared clean- The apartment was full of tiny ants crawling around on the bench top and bathroom. We also saw a few cockroaches in the room. The curtains did not close properly and did not fit the windows - way too small, so we had the outside street lights blaring in all night and woke up to the sun. The were only a few car parks for the whole building even though online it says car parking available. Overall very run down and dated building. Will not be staying again.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!……This ‘hotel’ has not had ANY money on it since the 80’s when it was built!!! Great location & views!!! & that is where it stops……..very little car spaces! As soon as you walk in….you are walking back in time!!! So so old & run down!!! The 3rd floor smelt like wet damp…..3 x lights didn’t work, the bathroom was old, plumbing was old & noisy, the room had a musty smell, the balcony door was very hard to close, however this would not seal or lock, no side tables or power points next to bed, bed was lumpy & smelt of mould. The roof was covered in mould, as well the bathroom. The Pool area was old & had chipped tiles, the spa switch did not work, the walk way to the pool had moss & chipped tiles on the way. This should be called the ‘Bates Hotel’…….definitely not worth the money!!! Go somewhere else, as you will regret it!!! Bayview needs to either spend money on it ……or better yet KNOCK IT DOWN & rebuilt a boutique hotel there!!!

Amazing location, amazing views. Nothing else was worth the price they are charging. Mould, dust, broken furniture and a very noticeable musty smell. The sliding door to balcony did not seal, so we could enjoy the second hand cigarette smoke from our chain smoking neighbour every with the door shut, curtains closed and air-conditioning running. Do yourself a favour and pay the little bit extra to stay next-door.

Discussing, mould on the ceiling bathroom has 1980 feel, mould running down the wall at front , a thin dooner with no cover using 2 sheets over the top and bottom, 1 roll of toilet paper to last us for 2 days , no tea spoons , room I would not pay more than 80 bucks a night, rip off , reception are not helpful rush u in and out , no car parks watching old people walking there stuff down the hill to the hotel, I would never stay here again . Waiting to see if we have bed bugs, do not book this hotel

Location was good with stunning views. Unfortunately the building is in need of major maintenance & the room i stayed in was filthy with someone else’s hair in the bathroom the furniture was from the 80’s, wifi didn’t work, the iron was burnt & everything was dirty.

The only good thing about this motel is the view and the location. we had an ocean view on the 7th floor. The motel was also central to the places we wanted th visit. The room looked nothing like the ones on the website when I booked. It showed a full size fridge, but we only had a bar fridge. The bathroom was outdated. The shower was pathetic, there was mould around the bath and the silicone needed redoing and the cover over the light moved up and down with the wind and was very rusty. The air con leaked and we told the lady at reception she said someone would look at after lunchtime. We returned around 2pm and the air con was still leaking. The bed I was sleeping in needs a new mattress, it felt that old that it had no spring left in it so when you laid on it it squished to nothing. We had no issues with the lift during our stay, but they do not have alot of parking so if you are lucky enough to get a spot don't move. Unfortunately I don't think I would stay here again unless they did an upgrade of their rooms.
