Elysian Luxury Eco Island Retreat

We had the most incredible stay at Elysian! The location itself is magnificent and in itself makes for a memorable experience. All members of the staff are very friendly, attentive and hospitable, which takes the experience to another level. The food was excellent - every single meal was delicious. When we weren’t relaxing by the pool, the activities were so fun - hiking, kayaking, yoga and the spa. One of the best hotel accommodations we’ve ever experienced. Cannot recommend enough!

We were very lucky to have four nights at Elysian Retreat and were not disappointed. From the time the helicopter dropped us off, all the staff were super warm, friendly and welcoming.The food was great and the room very calm and clean. Great outlook from our terrace over the water.We would certainly recommend a short stay.

This is definitely a remote location and great for peace and quiet, yoga and spa treatments.Access is by helicopter mainly, the landing are very tight in an area of overgrown trees. Boat transfer is very weather and tide dependent.Activities are limited to kayaking and swimming in the bay at high tide only, low tide is just too far out and very rocky, the hike path is badly maintained, and no views at the end, such a pity.The Great Barrier Reef and and decent snorkeling is at least 3 hours by boat, one way.Staff are excellent and food brilliant.I suggest 2 nights stay here, then move on to Hamilton Island for more variety of activities and closer to the lovely beach of Whitehaven and the proper Reef.

It’s a beautiful place in the Whitsundays .The staff were all amazing. The place is so relaxing - no decisions to make in terms of food etc, the villas, lounge and pool area are close together and all conveniently laid out. The menu is customised to your dietary requirements. Each meal we had was excellent.Set your alarm early to join the morning yoga class and start your day right.After a nice breakfast you should go on a trip around the islands as there are incredible beaches around.I would have loved to stay longer.

My partner & I had an amazing trip while staying at Elysian! The staff were very friendly and helpful in all ways possible. The food was first class and we had the oppurtunity to enjoy the seclusion while also the water activities. Would 100% go back again!

This place already has a great reputation. We support that reputation. Fantastic staff. Every service is excellent. The food sets new high standards for us. It’s absolutely worth every penny. Full marks to Lily, Zac, Laura and Luca. Plus another chef whose name I missed and all the other back of house staff. I can’t speak highly enough and their service. Truly 5 star.

We left the island 72h and I still have stars in the eyes. I came back full of gratitude and happiness. It was full of attention, kindness caring! Everyone played a big role in making our honeymoon unbelievable!Everything was amazing:The team: everyone in the island is super friendly, nice, problem solvers.The food: super diverse, delicious, and made with love.The spot: the spot is unique, best place for a retreat, to be relaxed and enjoy some activities.Activities: the team is super helpful to make your dream come true, we really enjoyed the helicopter scenic fly over the reefRoom: room was great, beach facing, fully equipped, snacks minibar included, clean and lovely and very confortable.Massages: amazing massages! Unique!Yoga: great 7am yoga! Loved it.I would definitely go back there is I come back to Australia!

A perfect honeymoon spent in a perfect place, we were met with a beautiful smile every day and truly spoilt from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much for the team and we were joined by a gorgeous collection of other guests. The resort gives you the freedom to be as social as you like - we wondered up the beach to find shells, relaxed by the pool with a cocktail and got evening massages before dinner! Our meal preferences were really well catered for and each of the staff are a credit to an amazing retreat resort experience. Thank you and we will see you again!
