Kimbriki means Place of water plants is a great recycling centre and the tour offered by Hornsby council to the residents is topnotch.You can visit for the ecohouse as well to learn about worm farming, composting etc.Worth a visit especially with kids so everyone learns the importance of less waste and how our waste is processed.Staff are very passionate about the work.

The go to place for your waste and e-waste removal needs including TVs, laptops, PCs, speakers amongst other hard to get rid of goods and materials. Give them a call if you're not sure what you can dump here, the always friendly staff are there to help the best they can :)

Entrance staff didn’t tell us how it works.Basically recycling is free and mixed waste is charged at $400 a tonne pro rata.IMPORTANTYou are weighed on entering.Then dispose of all your reciclable materialLeave so you are weighed again.Then come back and dispose of your mixed waste.That way you only pay for your mixed waste.The guys didn’t tell us and we didn’t get weighed a second time before exiting so we had to pay for our recycling as well…

It's a great recycling facility. Eco house is fantastic for educating people about composting (recycling greens and food waste) and growing things.There is a brick-a-brack type place where you can buy things for cheap (odd and ends, old bikes, pots windows etc...) and know you are doing your bit to reduce landfill while you save money. So don't think it's just to dump rubbish, it's worth checking out. I also think they run tours to teach people about recycling, if it's not them directly it will be through the local councils. Thumbs up for Kimbriki.

This place has everything. You can drop off all your waste; including paint batteries and electronics and purchase second hand furniture and building supplies.
