Great customer service, no matter how big or small the job is or how expensive or cheap your bike is. Mark is very knowledgeable and professional. I'm not the biggest bike enthusiast myself (just casual commuter) but whenever I come to his shop I really feel like I want to get more into it because of his enthusiasm. Knows good beer too! These guys are great! Definitely my go to for all things bikes from now on!I recently needed a service for my very old and well loved Shogun Trail Breaker 2. I brought it in and immediately felt these guys loved their craft, were no fuss and cared about getting me back on two wheels.The best thing about Vanilla is how welcoming they are. I have been to many bike shops and felt like the people working there were only interested in talking to you if you rode a carbon fibre bike worth thousands of dollars. Not the case here, top guys, reasonably priced and a great service!!

One of the friendliest bike shops in Sydney.I've visited a few times for various service and repair work, and each time the owner has been friendly, helpful and very quick to service my bike. If looking for a new bike, this would be my first stop as it's clear the owner is genuine and offers honest and trustworthy advice. Highly recommended!

It's great to be able to go to an old school bike shop where you get excellent service and that personal touch. The owner Mark is a very nice person and his workmanship and advice is excellent. He undercut 99 bikes when I purchased my Merida 200 so it was pleasing to be able to give a small time operator my business. I would recommend this shop highly.

I would travel from anywhere in Sydney to go to Mark at Vanilla cycles. Best service , best prices, best service and super helpful with suggestions on fixing and improving no matter what type of bike you bought or have been handed down , nor what type of rider you are. I've had my bike serviced by several bike mechanics and other big name shops over the years and my experiences have not been 100% positive as:- my bike has come back scratched- paid an arm and a leg and then some for a basic service only to find I had to go back due to some other issue. I've tried full service and things were always forgotten...- installed tape and other things without calling to check in with whether I was ok with certain brands and changes just stating that it needed changing after the fact.Mark who runs Vanilla cycles is not like any other shop and he will treat you as the A+ guest. My experience has been:+ Bike is well looked after. I always inspect my bike and it is never marked or scratched further than it was.+ Prices are competitive but the quality of the job and turnaround are on point!+ Always calls and double checks if I want certain things, warns of delays etc and if I'm ok with this price etc.I would trust no other mechanic with my bike than Mark at Vanilla. Give him a go. I'm sure he will not disappoint.It isn't a typical Bike shop where you need to be part of a certain 'crew' or type of rider or have a certain bike and ride certain groupsets.This is just a top notch quality customer focused bike shop which we need more of in shop/customer service and people!

Called Mark in the morning to enquire about fixing a snapped spoke and dropped off the wheel. Was advised to come back the next day to pick up the wheel and thought that was speedy service. A couple of hours later Mark called advising that the wheel was fixed and ready for pick up. Wow, that is called providing you with 'lightning speed' service! Thanks so much Vanilla bicycles, I'll be back for any future work on my bicycle when required, no matter how big or small.
