This was the rudest staff i’ve ever encountered. I went roller skating recently and one of the old ladies at the counter told me off for not saying please when i told them the size of my roller skates. They also used rude tones, basically yelling at me. I even saw one of my friends tearing up after getting nasty remarks after she asked to switch skates. Seriously this company needs to shut down and learn respect and manners. My peers and I were very discouraged by these hurtful words and will not be coming back here ever again. Save your money guys.

I have only attended this venue as a part of my paid work, about three times now. Although they consistently provide games for the skaters, play enjoyable music, and the prices are pretty reasonable, I have quite regularly found the staff - notably a couple of the ladies at the front processing payments etc, to be fairly short and rude with customers. I’ll follow with a couple of examples. When a child reached over the rink edge to have a sip of her drink she was sternly told not to do so. We were also told that people weren’t allowed to put on their own skates without paying for entry first - with no reasonable explanation and without any signage indicating that was the rule. When I have requested a tax invoice (required for work purposes) the ladies have consistently huffed and puffed about doing so, because they don’t have a system to print these out but rather have to write them by hand. I was also told on one occasion that they likely couldn’t provide me with a tax invoice because they were too busy, and later when I suggested they may be able to do so when it became quieter I was told “good luck” in an unfriendly manner. I later was able to get a written receipt by another staff member who was much nicer though.Lastly, in respect to a sign they had which said that no food/drink be brought into the rink/viewing area without prior arrangement, I spoke to staff about my special circumstances of being present for work purposes (being required to visually supervise the family I was working with) plus my special dietary requirements and need to eat regularly whilst visibly pregnant. They were not understanding and advised that I could only eat food bought from their premises or eat my own prepared food at the tables provided (which was a much healthier option than anything they provided for sale, but the tables didn’t not allow viewing of skaters). As I tried reasoning with them and explaining my situation they told me ‘you’re not listening’ before blanking me.Due to these experiences I would be unlikely to attend this venue of my own accord until some significant change in the level of customer service / treatment of patrons occurs.

Rudest staff I have ever come across. The staff was actually swearing in front of my 7 year old daughter. Never going back again.

The rink itself was alright, but the staff was the main problem. There were 3 old ladies who were treating the students rudely.Firstly, I had a friend named Karen, who had forgotten to bring her money and said she would pay for it next week. But when they heard what her name was, they laughed and said that's why your names Karen because you are a Karen. After that, when students were getting their skates and had forgotten to say please. They would say Because your not saying please

The venue is good and reasonably priced. Shame about the staff.I find it amazing that the staff think it’s ok to treat their paying customers so rudely. They really don’t deserve to be in business. At least they don’t discriminate, they’re rude to everyone.

Rude staff. If you are going to work at a place that requires you to interact with other people, maybe you should learn how to be patient or, at least, how to let one thing someone does wrong go instead of continually getting upset over everything that person is ever going to do in your presence and needlessly picking on them. Hypothetically.

Friendly warm hosting. An oldie but a goodie and kids as young as 3yrs were seen skating on their own. Love that you can accompany your kids with shoes for those that need extra guidance. Some hot food and snacks available on site as you can't bring food into the centre. Cool that you can bring your own blades though.

misbehaviour to consumer.Bad business ethicsRude staffsMy daughter (6 years old) joined this skating classes on 06/05/23. We purchased skating shoes from there worth $169. While trying the shoe, I informed the person she is wearing size 2 but the person in front said they don’t have the size and gave me size 4 shoe stating “wear double socks and this will give room to grow”. Shoe was too big even with double socks. Later we got the same shoes and appropriate size online at $69. So we purchased it. Next week, on my daughter’s skating class when I asked for the refund, they got angry. They then suddenly asked me and my daughter to leave the premises otherwise they will call the police. When I asked the reason for this, then they said it’s because I got the same shoes somewhere cheaper (the skating shoes were untouched, brand new, inside a sealed box). When I asked if there is any policy against this, a lady came and said “I own this place and I make the rule”. They then got other staffs involved, misbehaved, and forced us to leave the premises infront of many consumers present in the venue.I want explanation by Penrith Skatel behind1. Reason behind staff asking me to leave the premises2. Is there any policy of “no refund”?3. Is there any policy that if you make refund of the goods bought there then you will be asked to leave the premises?4. Any reason behind staffs being rude and unprofessional?
