Awesome experience and a must see if in Canberra. Could have easily spent the session touring just one of the exhibits and came back again another day. Great history lesson.

Loved it. Went back to Canberra a few days later to finish up the WWII section. Highly recommend - make sure you go online and book a free viewing time online. Id recommend going late in the day and doing the last post ceremony too (separate free booking)

Absolutely wonderful place. So much war history. I've always found the War Memorial a very moving experience and it helps you to learn about all of the conflicts our Aussies have been in and the sacrifice that they made for us. We will remember them always.

We had a guide called David who was so informative and friendly. The experience is one not to be missed. The memorial is very touching and the tributes to our fallen heroes is undescribable. You have to definitely experience this for yourself

I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the construction work being done. I am certain it will be a magnificent memorial once the work is complete. The staff are friendly and helpful, the displays are thoughtful and moving, and the Poppy cafe is a great way to finish your visit. My favorite place is the Hall of Memory. It feels like one of the spiritual hearts of Australia. I got to visit on my own and the experience was solemn and evocative.

Simply an amazing. It's undergoing some massive works for the next couple of years, which will make it so much better. We all loved it. It's a very emotional place to visit. Every Australian should visit this at least once to appreciate what our diggers have gone through & to see the history of our armed forces.

Amazing museum. As a history buff, I consider this one of the better curated museums I’ve visited. We had a wonderful guided tour - definitely do one if you can. My kids really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was informative, personable, and a great story teller.

You get a real sense of our nation here. I haven't been here since I was a child and wished I'd come sooner. If you think you may be able to visit, then you should it's worth while. There is a last post ceremony at 4:45pm that is also worth catching.

I have fond memories of this place visiting with my Dad. Taking my own son, that was special! I understand the need for upgrades, but the one currently taking place at the war memorial has severely limited what it once was. I am very disappointed that G for George was not on display, although the Lancaster will be back after all the refurbishment - finished in 2026.Having said that, my son enjoyed what was on display, having no preconceived ideas on what was there. What they have is done is with excellence!

Massive place! Easy to get lost, really need a couple of days in here to see it all. We had a guided tour and our tour guide was a wonderful guy and very knowledgeable and friendly, was more than happy to take me back to the shrine of the unknown soldier and the hall of remembrance as I was late arriving and missed the start of the tour. There were a lot of building works going on when we visited unfortunately so the lift for my partner was out of service as she was in a wheelchair while we were visiting, they did have a mechanical stair crawler for wheelchairs but was very slow.Would love to come back and spend more time next time
