Relatively new on the scene in Newtown and up there with the best available Indian food there is. Great atmosphere, helpful service and some delicious and unique offerings. You will eat your fill! Highly recommend.

Beautifully authentic Indian dishes, every dish has exquisite flavours, this is a must go place if you’re ever in the mood for Indian. The naan bread was perfect.

Was pleasantly surprised by how awesome the food was. It was fresh, tasty with lots of herbs and spices and not at all oily like many Indian restaurants. Highly recommend to any vegetarians, vegans or people wanting a meat free meal. I'd recommend booking a table because it filled very quickly on the Saturday night we were there. Staff were attentive and friendly. We would definitely have a meal here anytime.

Delicious! Was here with 30 people and food came fairly quick with the size of our event! The food is amazing and I’m addicted to the vegan cheese naan. Can’t wait to go back! Now my favourite Indian!

In this review:Customer service, vegan, sensory, disabled access.Where to begin, I went on the busiest night there is, reservation confirmed 3 times, for valentines day.Customer service.I was initially let down by the person who confirmed my online booking. She was a lovely girl, polite, and professional, but going the extra mile (on the phone at least) didn't exist, I asked for 3 things...1. A window seat, it's valentines and I was told I would be by the flowers.2. If a candle could be provided3. If flowers could be put on the tableNow I offered to pay ahead for the last item in my list.I didn't get any of the items upon turning up (#1 was most important). I got a heads up for item 2 and item 3 when I rang (saying I was late by 10 minutes), but that was okay.The window seat let down was provided in person...Disappointed, but determined, I sat down by the wall anyway, as this place looked great, and soon I realised, that despite negligible staff issues, the owner, the kitchen, and the polite and professional service (with a smile) completely made the night positive from that point onwards.Vegan.Have you ever had something actually resemble, both in taste and texture, an animal product? This was my first experience where a non fish item, blew my mind. I had to ask is that really not fish?"Before readers say "a vegan wouldn't know the difference" I'll remind you that I used to eat 2kg of blue steak in a sitting

Every vegan eatery I’ve been to in Newtown has been a delight, and the Green Mushroom is no exception. Nice decor and a wonderful smell of spices hit you as you enter the restaurant. The staff are polite & welcoming. There’s an abundance of delicious dishes on offer - the 3 entrée & main dishes we chose were simply amazing and I’m sure whatever you choose would be just as delicious. Another vegan gem to add to the many gems in Newtown.

Great good, wonderful service. The curries were so tasty, we had butter chicken and palak paneer. The butter chicken was so creamy and lovely. The naan bread was amazing. Would definitely come back here. Also amazing that it's all vegan, you could bring non-vegan/vegetarian friends here and they would not miss the meat. Everything was delicious and the staff were so, so lovely and sweet.

Great for vegans. People are quite friendly.Tandoori Nann (not Tandoori Roti) is just the right texture for you to want to order again.Butter chicken (orange coloured dish) also a recommendation, which is sour sweet.Look for parking spots first.
