Tash has been cutting my hair for 17 years now and every single time it’s fabulous.My first ever experience was when I was 13 and another hairdresser had butchered my hair cut and made me look like a boy. Tash was able to rescue it despite a very short cut, and I haven’t trusted anyone else since.My latest before and after is fabulous. It’s been a long time since I‘ve had a cut and I’m feeling so fresh and confident.Plus Tash and Ewan are just all around wonderful people who are lovely to chat to and really focused on making everyone feel cared for.I love their tagline “emerge renewed” cause that’s exactly what I feel every time I go.If you’re looking for the best hairdressers in Melbourne, this is it. I've been going to Green Butterfly for haircuts for over 10 years. Sad they've had to move from their old Northcote digs due to the Covid-19 upheaval. I'll follow them to their new Thornbury studio though. But the environment at Green Butterfly was relaxed and welcoming, the staff were all friendly and for the first time in my life I really liked my hair! Quite definitely the most relaxed and warm vibes of any hair salon I have ever experienced. I am so grateful I came across these guys after google searching eco friendly hair dressers when I landed in Melbourne a couple of years ago. Sustainable practices and ethos, super chilled and amazing staff, delicious tea, consistent and great cuts every time!The only stop to chop my locks :) Can't recommend these guys enough!!!

I've had my hair cut and colored here by Amy, Missy and Joseph. Have had great experiences with everyone. Most recently Joseph gave me a short hair cut which I'd been wanting for a long time. Getting your hair cut short for the first time can be nerve wracking but he spent time making sure it was a cut that would suit me. Joseph's skills are phenomenal and I've never felt more beautiful and 'myself'. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. 10/10 would recommend getting a pixie cut, and 10/10 recommend getting Joseph to cut it.
