Lions Den Hotel
Out of the way pub, great friendly staff and loads of history decorating the pub. Great food. Recommended Wednesday night parmigiana lottery. And the constantly have pizzas ready to be heated in 15mins whenever you are hungry. Beer was priced below what you would think and mate great friends and had great conversations with the locals. Very much needs a visit. The accommodation is glamping on a budget but it was worth a lot more in my books because of the tranquillity. Must visit if your up that way.

Lions Den Hotel
We visited in 2018 and what a wonder hotel and I wished we have stayed for the night as there is so much character in this hotel but heading back to the Lions Den this year and we will be staying for a night or 2 in June 2023.

Lions Den Hotel
This was worth the drive. We made our way through the blooms field track and were able to enjoy the space. Plenty or street parking and we had the pizza which was so good and quick to come out. There are lots of spaces to sit and the staff were so friendly. The decor was incredible, such a great spot. I hope we make it there again!

Must do historic pub, camp ground. Good amenities. Get a feed, good pizzas and coffee + the usual pub stuff and Cape merch.

Very interesting place.Pizza was only mediocre, it appeared to be a prepared base and toppings just melted on top (maybe microwaved?). However chips were good!

Lions Den Hotel
Went for a drive out from Cooktown to Loins Den for lunch on Saturday. 3/6/23.Absolutely great pub!Lots of history and lots of memorabilia everywhere!Lots of people.. a tag along caravaners, a tourist bus, and quite a few locals.Hubby had the best TBone steak and salad, I had crumb steak and vegies ( vigies cost $3 extra).The camping grounds out the back are great and glamping tents look terrific.Just a very short walk down to a lovely running creek. Beautiful water.Really enjoyed our day out there.
