Rydges Port Macquarie

Not worth the money. Rooms are dark, stinking and old. Furniture had stains on it including dirty curtains.Bathroom looked too old and No proper toiletries were provided and it was a cheap toilet paper. Nothing like a 4 star hotel.Hope the hotel management takes some action to improve.

The Rydges Port Macquarie is a very nice hotel. It's central to everything in the city. The rooms are clean and functional.Book early if you want a room with a balcony and a view. I didn't so I got to watch the driveway of the bottle shop next door.The staff and service was faultless.

After reading other reviews of very dated rooms, before arriving we rang and asked if we could have an upgraded room. Best phone call ever, with our room #605 simply spectacular. This room is two bedrooms and enormous, with breathtaking views over the water. Talking with staff apparently all rooms are being refurbished during 2023, which sounds like it's much needed. The hotel pool also excellent and the staff were awesome when we visited in April 2023.

We stayed 1 night due to moving house. Our room 205 was 3D Disgusting Dirty Dusty with mold on both sides of the curtainsAn ASTHMATICS Dream stay location!!! (Yep I'm being sarcastic) and with a hole bigger than a 50c piece in the curtains obviously they are the original ones hung and never touched again.Noise is horrendous (they could try updating to double glazed windows they charge enough for decent renovations to take place)Aircon was set to 18 degrees and we were so hot we couldn't sleep and left at 6am.Bathroom well it was vile! Paint chips everywhere mold on Ceiling near exhaust fanShame I can't seem to upload the photos we took! Omg promise me you will avoid this dirty out dates over priced building with uncaring staff!Rydges Port Macquarie up your game for such a beautiful area your establishment is a disgrace!I'm not going to get into the disgusting $20 fee over night parking! When your rooms are ridiculously priced.RENOVATE!!! UPDATE!! GET STAFF THAT CARE!NEVER AGAIN WILL WE WALK INTO THAT BUILDING.

The room was very old & tired. The bed should have been changed two years ago, a great big hollow in the 2 singles of the King bed. So it has a huge ridge in the middle. The bathroom needs an update. No info in the room on services provided. No pad/pens as you would expect in a 3 star yet alone a 4. And still they ask +$350 a night for this room!!!!

The water front view is fantastic.I took take aways back to my balcony to enjoy foods with view most of the time.Mini bar well stocked.Staff are attentive and very helpful.Good location as right in the middle of town central, walking distance to most attractions in town.

For what you pay, I expect a clean room. The shower was full of hair, the beds were full of hair. The rooms felt abit claustrophobic you couldn’t even open up any windows a little for air all were boarded up with plastic.Breakfast and dinner at Zebu were good cannot complain about that what so ever.

A truly great stay. Exceptional staff and customer service, they will do their best to accommodate and be understanding which I truly appreciate. Room is very comfortable bed and big TV. Good check out time too. Did the breakfast buffet was is the best view out to the water, highly recommend!

Apartment 605 was beautiful and the views took my breath away.My only downside was the apartment was quite hot. There is only a A/C in the lounge room and the bedrooms get hot. They do have ceiling fans, but the one in the main room only worked on low. We spoke to reception but the apartments is privately owned so they were limited to what they could do. They did give us an extra pedestal fan, which helped a bit.Overall it was a very pleasant stay. I'd love to go back one day.
