I went in yesterday (11/07/2022) to get some lunch. It was my very first visit to Tamarind. I was amazed to see the variety of curries they had. I bought almost all the curries. The food was tasty and gave me such a nostalgic feeling about Sri Lanka. It reminded me of my mum's cooking :) Purely home cooked - no fancy tastes which was excellent. The staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely go there again. But one minor problem- the quantity of the main curry (Fish, pork, chicken) portions were too small.

A solid Sri Lankan place. Beef curry was good but the pieces had a bit fat on them but i did not like.

Highly recommended. Had some curries ordered for 30 ppl. on the 18/02/2023. Absolutely delicious, everyone enjoyed. Thank you Nissanka and the staff at Tamarind 8.

Great food!My go to when I want a nice hearty meal and don't want to spend 3 course meal type prices.Only negative is that they never seem to have or always seem to be out of beef curry...

Food's not fresh or tasty. It's not worth for what you pay either. There are few better food places nearby.Do NOT Recommend!

One of the 'must try' restaurant in Narre Warren. There isn't much seating space but the food is really tasty. Most of the dishes are on a higher spice level. Village Pack (5 curries+meat/fish wrapped in a banana leaf) and kuttu roti are our favs.
