Stopped in for lunch, we both had fish, flathead for me, king George for hubby. Fish cooked perfectly, side salad was good, hubby had chips they were OK.View was great, didn't need the techno music at lunchtime though, wasn't nightclub and a bit out of sync with the atmosphere

Ordered the Thai beef salad the salad itself was bland and not sure what was actually Thai about it. The steak on top was so over cooked it was like jerky. If you eat here definitely stick with the safe choice of schnitzel.

Went with friends on two separate nights while holidaying. Meals were OK but would class as average pub meal with top end prices, especially drinks. Cost of a bottle of soft drink was ridiculous. Size of fish portion was very small but made up for with chips and salad (single piece of fish was tasty but disappointingly below what was expected for the cost). Service was friendly. Don’t like giving poor reviews, but this place really needs to lift its game.

Great, steak med/rare perfect, nice mash (very hot), nice variety in the salad, good balanced dressing. Only hiccup the online menu wasn't the same as the restaurant. No complaints from the rest of the table of 10 people.

Had lunch with 3 friends today (29 March 2023). Can't complain about the meals, all good size and cooked to our liking. BUT $14 for 2 cans of Coke is over the top in any ones opinion. Spoilt a good lunch. Management are far too hungry.

The main meals were quite expensive for what they were.$36 for a serving of 1 small piece Salmon and a small rice cup$34 for a small T-bone and 7 chips$26 for a small schnitzel and 10 chips plus $2 for sauce.Be careful of the pepper gravy, it’s very spicy, it’s more like a chilli sauce.I do not recommend eating here

We visited the Ventnor Hotel for dinner last Saturday night. We thought it would be busy and it was. They appeared to be short staffed, but the staff they had did a good job despite this. The noise was deafening. I don't think I've been in such a noisy place, making conversation very restricted.The food was very disappointing. One of our party had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce. He really is not one to complain at all, but he said he just couldn't eat the schnitzel. It was just awful. He said the sauce tasted revolting, and the beef was like cardboard. It looked like a dog's breakfast, but I don't think even the dog would eat it!It was replaced with a sundae icecream when he complained, which he said was very nice.The rest of us had fish which were ok, except the portions were miserly and the meals overpriced too.It was meant to be a night off cooking, but we all wished we had stayed home.

Chicken Schnitzel with legend topping was awesome. Sadly 6/8 meals order to the table had cold/old tasting chips.Scallops were yuck, they should try other Scallop toppings.2 order Burgers and 1 was a complete slop of a mess and did not hold together.The beef Thai salad was just burnt beef strips and was not flavoured Thai, which extremely disappointing after paying for.Very loud atmosphere, not much that can be done to fix that

Not a surprise that this place is always dead. Zero atmosphere. Was not an enjoyable experience. Every time I come here it seems as though the staff are annoyed that you are there and always rude. Food is also terrible, forever having to send stuff back.

Friendly atmosphere! Great location and views. Good service and great food!
