I have been attending Ballarat Neighborhood House over the last couple of months as a work placement student from federation University. I have found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the community services sector here in Ballarat and beyond. Placement has been a great experience and I have learnt so much about this sector from being there. I cant wait to see some of their projects I have been working on become a reality. It truly was a pleasure and I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing people.

This community space is friendly and the staff are helpful and approachable. It is a modern, Covid safe place that offers a variety of short courses to the Ballarat community. It provides opportunities for people to acquire and build essential skills in a caring and supportive environment.

They have community lunches for $10 on a Friday, ring to book. Loads of parking out the front. Donated bread for everyone located in the foyer. Food is prepared by students under the direction of a chef/cook. Free coffee and tea and a dessert all served at the table. Gather a couple of friends and enjoy a lunch date especially on a wet winter Friday afternoon.

I visited the Friday lunch session which has a name I can't remember, but it is a great and cheap meal.You get to meet a lot of seniors and have a good time chatting.
