We had such a sensational evening here tonight. From the minute you walk in to the very last minute you walk out, the service, attention and fine detail from the staff is impeccable. The venue itself is beautiful, easy to get to and the ambiance itself, warm, welcoming extremely classy. We had a group, so opted for the signature set menu - pleasantly delighted with each plate that were served - presentation, quality and taste were of high standards. The passionfruit soufflé was unique and delectable (highly recommend). One thing to note, we had a group booking of 8 and due to unforeseen last minute reasons we had 2 now shows. Staff / management were empathetic and at NO point did they make a fuss (despite their booking terms and conditions), question or talk about charging a “no show” fee. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived, we were not charged. This speaks volumes about this venue - they are humble, honest and genuinely focus on their guests dining experience. Would hands down recommend. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

I celebrated my birthday here recently and had an amazing experience, from being welcomed by the host and seated, to our server, giving us recommendations without being pushy, and of course, the food being delicious and portioned well. We tried their new Le Fixe menu for lunch, and we definitely recommend the short rib for the main as it was so succulent and flavourful without being oily. The grilled octopus for the entree was also cooked well, as it was not chewy at all. Finally, for dessert, we ordered separately from the Le Fixe menu as we wanted the souffle and the chocolate mousse. We didn't have to wait long for the next course to be served, either, so each course was spaced evenly. This restaurant deserves all the stars. Additional credit to Chiara, who made the whole experience even better as she made sure we had everything we needed.

Great French restaurant. Fantastic decor and truly feels like transported to Paris. Food was tasty, and the portion surprisingly well given. We shared our plates and even that we are struggled to finish everything. The steak is OK, not outstanding, but the duck is pretty much my favourite, the best one I have tried so far in Sydney.

A very fine French restaurant with a very nice romantic ambience. The food was creative, delicate & delicious. The cocktail and wine were high quality and the service was excellent. I like the Foie Gras Macaron which melts in my mouth! Both the duck breast and the Riverine MB4+ Short Rib were cooked really well and were very tender. The Murray Cod was also cooked nicely but the taste of the fish was missing. All I could taste was the sauce. The passion fruit soufflé was divine. Overall it was a nice dining experience.

This place has a great ambiance and service. The food was served in a very nice platting. Unfortunately the taste was average for me for those price. However, they do have a good range of cocktails! The best dishes were Duck Breast and Octopus.

Extraordinary upper class dinningPrices were on the top end but totally justifiableThe Morton bay bug was the best, bernaise and poivre sauce was phenomenal. We certainly missed that, there were only 4 piecesSirloin and duck were perfectly cooked and seasoned, tender and juicy. They were not as mind blowing as the Morton bay bug but still sit at the above average range, absolutely.Staff was attentive and patient. We find it slightly intimidating in the end, we were asked if everything was ok for at least 5 times, even when we were obviously having a conversation. At one point, the fire alarm system rang for straight 3 minutes, it sadly impacted our enjoyment eating all the food.

TLDR. Avoid gnocchi (gummy fried playdough) and octopus (tough as a boot) entrees. Beef short rib (overcooked, tasted old in a bad way) was sinewy and overcooked. Very missable savoury. Good desserts. Haphazard, variable customer serviceThe young lady server was kind and professional, as was the spirited gentleman in the black suit jacket who served us a complimentary mini chocolate caramel tart with raspberry gel, a lovely gesture. Other FOH self-important, busily peacocking about vs serving patrons with a smile.Sides: Bread served fridge cold, had a good amount of butter on the side. Brussel sprouts well-charred, hazelnuts lifted the otherwise ordinary dish. Very heavy handed use of butter and oil, may be off-putting for the health conscious, but I didn't mind itEntreesGnocchi was very poorly made, served stodgy. Had a heavy, chewy, playdough, almost fried mochi-like consistency, and not in a good way. My guess is the flour to potato ratio was way off, good flavour with the usual browned butter and mushroom medley. Server kindly offered to ask kitchen to make again, however the gnocchi, unless made from scratch to order, would've come out the same, so decided to save us all the time and bother. Doubt the issue is in the execution of cooking and plating, but rather the actual recipe, sadly.Octopus was overcooked, rubbery and underseasoned. Overall, entrees were not the best, would avoid these dishes if the above description doesn't entice youMainsBeef short rib was sinewy, tasted like beef that's been sitting out at room temp for a bit too long on a hot day. Old and slightly stale, wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked. Served to me grey and extremely well done".Barramundi was well cooked but had a whole slice of salted buttered white toast slapped on top vs "bread crumbed" as per menu descriptionDessertWhite chocolate brulee with tropical sorbet was well balanced

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Franca Brasserie. We enjoyed some very tasty food that was presented extremely well.Highlights were the vegan mushrooms which were served with kipfler potatos. The mushrooms were delicious! The bread crusted barramundi was also excellent. The service was great and we were given an anniversary cake after finishing our mains.
