We absolutely loved having John as our wedding photographer. We found him very enthusiastic, easy to work with, and he made us feel comfortable being ourselves, which is evident in his work. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

It took me a long time to find a photographer for our wedding day. For me having just the right photographer for the day was one of the most important things. I did a lot of research. As soon as I saw John’s photographs I knew that he was the one. His photographs told a story or each couple’s day, which was what I wanted so in years to come I could remember how our day unfolded. But, more importantly, was John’s ability to capture emotion. We didn’t want posed photographs. We wanted photographs that captured the love that my husband and I had for each other in a natural, unobtrusive way. John captured our day from beginning to end – laughter, tears, excitement and nervousness and wedding rings that wouldn’t go on fingers (the trepidation and triumph!). But he also captured those small intimate moments between my husband and I, photos that show exactly who we are as a couple and the love and admiration we have for each other. The sideways glances, the small unexpected kiss, the moment where a head rests on a shoulder, the small touch. No matter how many times we look at these they take our breath away. We would pay the same amount of money for these handful of photographs alone- the type of photograph that are only captured by someone who is highly experienced and truly outstanding in their craft.

There is not much about photography that John Mitchell doesn't know! I had a one-on-one photography lesson with John who sat with me attentively with my camera. I am a new photographer and John explained the workings of my camera and provided me with valuable information to use this camera & to take some wonderful photos on the day and to be used in the future.

I required a professional photographer for my business and John was professional and extremely customer focused. I felt at ease with him and couldn’t be happier with the resulting photography.
