Professional prompt and friendly

I’ve been going to this place to get blood taken (& have the odd ECG) for about 20 years, & have found almost all of the staff who have worked there to be very good at their job, as well as being very friendly (especially with their “regulars” like myself) & when necessary “understanding” for those who find having blood taken quite a traumatic experience.It’s only a small, single operator collection centre, so if you arrive in the first 1/2 hour or so after they open, there’ll be a fairly good chance that you’ll have to wait for others...This is especially the case on Monday mornings. Their other busy time is often just before & just after the centre closes for lunch (the actual time that they’re shut for lunch has changed a few times over the years, so I’m not sure when it is now, but this should be on their Google listing, & the single operator has to get a break sometime!). However, the wait is rarely more than 15 or 20 minutes (although I have waited over an hour on a couple of occasions - but these “occasions” have been spread out across the 20 odd years that I’ve been going there a couple of times a month).Over the years I’ve been going there, I’ve found that most of the staff have been both “gentle”, & “effective” when taking blood (& doing the range of other tests that they do at the site). The being ”effective” part of this is particularly important to me, as most of my veins have been punctured so many times (from both having blood taken, & having cannulas (bungs) put in during my many hospital admissions) that they are now pretty well stuffed, hard to find, and if one is found, it’s even harder to get blood from. However, they are generally prepared to have a few stabs in a few different places in order to get some blood out of me , & if their not successful on my first visit, they’re always happy for me to come back next day to try again...& again....& again...as often as is necessary.
