Ordered a birthday cake here - the cashiers were lovely and gave me some good recommendations. The mango mousse cake was especially good and not too sweet.

Good variety, good prices, fresh products . Favourites are the taro cake , chestnut cake , mud cake, coffee and walnut cookies , Swiss rolls, mango sago pannacotta dessert soup. Everything here is pretty tasty however note the cakes have a lot of cream (the ratio is not quite right with the sponge) and the sweetness level is on the lower end like most Asian style bakeries

I was so excited to try this place. However, everything that I bought from this bakery didn’t taste good at all. The sausage bun tasted burnt and the sausage itself was hard to bite. The pork floss bun looked big but the inside was just air. The egg tarts lacked flavour and the tart shells tasted a bit off. I will never buy from this bakery again . 85degrees and BreadTop are way better.

Bought almost $40 worth of different bread. None of them taste good. Anything that is supposed to have fillings only has filling on the top/surface. Nothing inside. Disgusting. I’m throwing the rest to the bin. Will never return and won’t recommend.Pic shows - filling on the top. 1 bite through, there is barely anything inside.

Best bakery for someone who cannot intake too much sugar. Their cakes are not too sweet at all. What a pleasant surprise.

A friend of mine bought a cake from this place for my birthday. It was a sponge cake. It had a nice consistence, it melted in my mouth, but it didn’t have any taste! It was so weird, I’ve never eaten something with no taste.

L’oven is an Asian bakery chain that offers breads, cakes, pastries and other desserts. The chain offers birthday cakes and celebration cakes ranging from 6 inches around $35, up to 9 inches at around $75. The cake menu includes Mango Cake, Oreo Chocolate Cake, Strawberry Cake, Black Forrest Cake, Blueberry Chocolate Cake, Taro Cake, Chestnut Cake, Passionfruit Cake, even Durian Cake - and the list goes on! You can order these online, via phone, or even turn up in store and see what cakes they have in stock. Smaller desserts in the Chatswood L’oven included a Taiwanese Vanilla Dessert, Sesame Puffs, various flavours of Swiss Rolls and containers of Panna Cotta. The store features the typical style with the customer selecting tongs and a tray, but all the items have been individually plastic wrapped. Individually plastic wrapping is great for this post-COVID era, but no so good for the environment. Staff are efficient when checking you out, so you never have to wait too long. Definitely feels like more of a fast food ‘get in and get out’ bakery, so if you need a quick, sweet snack after work or on the weekend then this is an easy place to go!

My kids love it!It's not my personal favourite but 'the things you do for your children', right?I can manage a birthday cake from L'Oven for my 11-year-old daughter. (Just once, though. Sorry)They are pretty looking cakes with easy to please flavours and soft textures, but they taste and look heavily industrialised.
