Alice Springs Dental Surgery

Had the exact same issue as another reviewer John Smith, in relation to injections and the fact they were not working as normal on myself, then the dentist making out like I was the issue, and was wasting her time and resources, seriously who wants to have over 6 injections into their gums, I cant imagine anyone would, so why would a patient lie...its in no way enjoyable. She was extremely rude and disrespectful.However I have been back a number of times to see another Dentist on staff named John Zuscak.He is absolutely amazing, wonderful bedside manner, and listens to his patients, and does excellent work. I had the same issue with injections with this dentist, however instead of making out I was the issue just wanting more injections, after the first 3-4 were not working, he moved me to a waiting room for approx 20-30mins for the medication to take effect, and then checked I could not feel anything then proceeded with the removal/work. He is from interstate so not always available, but HIGHLY recommend him. The dental Hygienist is also great!They also have issues with the HiCap machine, so if your with Medibank, be prepared to pay entire cost up front, and submit the claim online, as the reception staff will state your policy does not cover dental, despite the fact you are 100% aware of that your policy does cover dental.

I had an overall very positive experience here. The dentist picked a subtle crack that had caused problems for years and had been missed by a number of previous dentists. My only real complaint was the delay in having a crown made interstate and then shipped to Alice Springs, though that is obviously the price one pays for living there.I found everyone very friendly and professional with me, but the relationship between the dentist and her assistant was a little testy - and not a good look overall to the client.I can happily recommend Alice Springs Dental Surgery, after having more than a routine interaction with them.

I had a great experience here. I had to have an emergency root canal while on holidays. They were on time if not early for my appointment. My dentist was super caring and my root canal was a walk in the park, I've had worse fillings than that. It was very reasonably priced and we were back on the road in no time. I wouldn't hesitate to use them as my regular dentist if I lived in Alice.

Can't fault the receptionist team or the dental team. Were flexible, accommodating and reasonably priced. Very happy.

Around 2012 I went in to get a new flling done. The new filling was made too large and didnt fit properly. Instead of starting over the dentist" (a guy forget his name by now) started to grind the healthy tooth just above the new filling to try and make it fit..absolute disgrace. I had to go elswhere to get it fixed. And now having issues with the tooth he grinded down. Im not sure if things have changed there by now but enter at your own peril"

Used to be good but are no longer able to keep appointments

I have been to a few Dentists in town and i thought i'd try somewhere different.I was Greeted by a friendly Dentist and assistant who was very gentle with needles ensuring i was not in pain, i didn't feel a thing whilst he was drilling at a tooth which i usually hate.i will be using this dentist again in the future.

Got injected with local for a lower molar filling 6 times! Took about an hour. It still didn't work. The Dentist started implying that I was the problem. She said I was too sensitive to pain! Eventually I gave up and left. Went to see an excellent Dentist at ASDA. When I explained what had happened she straight away said that with about 1 in 5 people you need to inject the long buccal nerve in addition to the usual injection when doing any lower molar work. Worked straight away. Didn't feel a thing and didn't need to get stabbed 6 times!
