My elderly mother , who has worked her whole life, has had major surgery, heart problems and has letter from her doctor stating she is unfit and it is unsafe for her to work, was treated incredibly poorly today. The lady who was dealing with her claim said to her “ just because you are near retirement age, don’t think you can just get money and not work”My mum has always been a hard worker and we’ve never asked for hand outs from Centrelink, to be spoken to like she is some lazy person who wants a hand out is disgusting. She is so embarrassed and upset.

Been on hold for 1hr 25 minutes for a call, 1hr each for the 3 before that.. even though they were the one to call me about my claim. Resulting in not being able to report because they keep putting me on hold and then the call HANGS UP from being ON HOLD too long. Seriously

Couldn't get my Medicare claim processed due to fears of Covid even though our city has no community transmission. I don't want to download your app. The paranoia was real and yet no one was wearing a mask. I should be able to walk in, fill out a form and file it.

Went there expecting to wait for an hour or so. Took only 15 mins. Both reception and assistance lady were very polite and helpful. I think half the experience is for you to know what you want and to have what is needed. very helpful staff.

Not their fault however the wait times to be seen for Medicare related services are interminably long. There is only 1 Medicare specialist in this office- why??Something that you should be able to do online they need you to come in and waste hours on! Something so simple should be part of the My.gov account process.Get with the program and join the 21st century.On the plus side the premises are clean, chairs comfortable and staff friendly.
