My 25 year old son has suffered from severe epilepsy and communication issues due to an acquired brain injury sustained at the age of 18 months. For years we have been unable to find an appropriate speech therapist for him that understands him and his issues. Since he started working with Kirsten in early 2021, he has made significant improvements in his speech and comprehension. Kirsten makes his twice weekly sessions different and engaging each time and consequently he is going from strength to strength, becoming more confident and independent to the delight of family and friends who have noticed the positive change in him and his communication. He is even initiating conversation and asking questions which is an extraordinary turnaround. We are extremely grateful for Kirsten’s unfaltering care and commitment, which is above and beyond what we have previously experienced.
