Port Arthur Historic Site Gift Shop
Fascinated with Port Arthur, it's amazing history and all that went with it. But be wary about buying the books with cards that tell about convicts from the gift shop. Our set of cards with the female convict stories has the number and symbol on the top right side instead of the left. Impossible to play with - and especially impossible to play two-pack games! Only discovered this when the books and cards were given on Christmas Day.

I would’ve happily given 5 stars for the beautifully set out gift shop…. had it not been for the rude lady behind the counter that served me on Thursday. I kindly asked for a plastic bag and with such a rude response she replied “no you can’t have a bag”. This would have to be the worse customer experience I’ve ever encountered. Other than that, all other staff were lovely at the historic site.

Nice gift shop.. had plenty of Tasmania and Port Arthur memorabilia, purchased some books and post cards. Had many types of memorabila, would have been 5 star if the customer service was better

Port Arthur Historic Site Gift Shop
Great gift shop with a different range of souvenirs. A lot of unique souvenirs that you wouldn't find in other shops. The staff were very helpful in suggesting places to visit in the Port Arthur area as well as having a good knowledge of the history of the region. Special thanks to Tina and the man who was working with her. I've forgotten his name, glasses and silver/grey hair. Their advice made for an amazing couple of days in Port Arthur.

Port Arthur Historic Site Gift Shop
Dinner and a ghost tour are highly recommended. As is the daytime tour of le Isle de morte. This is no historical reconstruction of Disney-Raquel convict days such as sovereign hill in Ballarat presents. This is a grown-up look at all of the history of the site through is incarnation as asylum, poor house and early 20th century village.
