Whundo Open Pit
It’s a fair drive from Karratha and definitely need a 4WD as you’re driving over river beds and stony paths. This pit has been abandoned for ages and has been collecting water, looking similar to a gorge. Could see remnants of copper and quarts. Thread carefully as there are heaps of undercuts on the edge of the path. Definitely would come visit again if it isn’t blistering hot from the limestones.
