Alara Motor Inn Mackay
A lovely, clean and large room. Perfect for us and our pet! The owner also gave us a treat for my cat and was very accommodating with our late check in, she also was very accommodating with our large Van that wouldn't fit under the awning and allowed us to park where it did fit, even though that wasn't the usual spot/took up another spot. She was a breath of fresh air and it's so lovely to be welcomed so warmly :) particularly during the stress of Easter long weekend. They also offer to leave a meal for you in the frige for late check ins, which I thought was a lovelt touch! Would definitely be staying here anytime we are in Mackay x

I just want to say a massive thank you to Narelle and Daryl who were so helpful, caring and bent over backwards for us after we ended up in Mackay after the wife broke her ankle in Airlie Beach and required emergency surgery in Mackay...I can't thank them enough for looking after us and making sure we had everything we need.The pool was a welcome oasis for me and my kids to cool down in and the restaurant also has great food cooked by a really good chef, this certainly made life easier at such a difficult time. Room service is available too which was good as the wife was very immobile after surgery.The rooms are nicely presented and the aircon was brilliant.Thank you to the managers for all of your help, keep up the good work and the personal touch of being caring and friendly.Kind regardsNathanPs. Absolutely professional staff and very friendly. Will definitely stay here again when I go through Mackay again eventually. They allowed me to checkin early while other hotels said they were full or couldn't have rooms available until lunch time. This was a godsend after I had been at work all week and on a bus coach most the night. Everything was clean and cozy as well. :)

Just had a wonderful stay at Alara Motel. Staff are welcoming and extremely accomodating. Pet friendly and pet loving! Pool is beautiful. Rooms are spacious. We will definitely be back.

Excellent motel. Good position. Car parking right at the unit. Friendly, fast checkin. Complimentary water, snacks etc. Excellent room. Clean. Modern. Spacious and great bed. Good shower. Very good TV. Fast internet. If only every motel was this good.

Room very comfortable, big plus room cool when walked in. Thanks for putting air conditioner on prior to arrival. Clean room and outside. Very friendly customer service. Would recommend. Great pet friendly room as well

This is hands down the most amazing place I’ve ever stayed! The quality for price is insane here. Service is 5+ stars, everyone is so amazing, lovely, helpful & patient. I stayed in a pet friendly room & it was completely spotless. I would 10000% stay here again, & recommend anyone else to stay here when in Mackay. Narelle, her husband & Dee were truly exceptional.
