On the 24th September 2021, we took the propeller off our vessel, the Tweed Star, a Moreton Bay prawn trawler and took it to Performance Propellers. Our goal was to gain RPM and lessen our fuel consumption.When the propeller was measured with prop scan, Colin explained, that if the sectional shape of the propeller was corrected, it would drastically lessen fuel consumption.The results have been fantastic, we’ve gone from using 30 liters an hour to 14 liters an hour. Which will save us approx $50-70k a year in fuel.Thanks Performance Propellers for your knowledge and service. We look forward to further dealings.Angela & Andrew
