Just had a Cajun pulled pork pie. I was recommended to try and thank crikey i did. Absolutely delicious. Not too spicy, great gravy and sweet tender pulled pork. I'll be back tomorrow for another one. Yummo

Wow....I got a chocolate mud cake for my sons 40TH birthday it was amazing....It looked beautiful and tasted even better....The staff were so helpful and friendly....In all a great experience....I would recommend them thoroughly....

Wanted a simple, not too sweet cake for my sons 1st birthday. After calling a few places I tried The Ginger Jar. I explained that my baby doesn't really like cake and the only cake he eats is a “sugarless” banana muffin that I make at home (only using bananas for flavour). The chef suggested a hummingbird cake and said he could make it not too sweet, and use fresh cream rather than icing.Well the cake was a hit. My son loved it and the the rest of the family said it was one of the nicest cakes they’d ever had. Not too sweet or heavy.Big thank you to Ginger Jar!

This cafe is truly a hidden gem conveniently located next to Woolie’s with convenient car park. French pastries, pies and a good range of sweets. Friendly owner and barista makes really good coffee.

If your in Nowra, and hungry, you must go to The Ginger Jar Bakehouse. The best pies we have had in a long time. The Thai Chicken curry pie was delicious and the Pepper Steak pie was full of big chunks of meat. Also the coffee was the bomb.

Sorry to leave a bad review, but I'm hunting for the best pie in the area and this is NOT the place. Curry beef pie was thin and chewy. Filling was seemingly just gravy... no actual meat texture at all. Spinach roll was inedible. Didn't taste of spinach or cheese. First bite was chewy and dry second bite tasted like salty bread crumbs... no more bites were taken! Neither were particularly hot. The lovely girl who served me deserves 10/10
