Have just had our first session with Jake and blown away by his depth of knowledge and care. Jake showed me how to identify cues that my dog was becoming agitated that I never would have seen and helped with solutions to get on the front foot and keep my dog calm. He’s given me things to work on at home so we can really make the best use of our time at our next session. Would 100% recommend and looking forward to showing off our progress next time! Even within 2 days my dog is hardly pulling on the leash

I am in absolute awe of Jake from Dog & Bone and highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed. His passion and compassion for dogs is inspiring. We had a 6 month puppy causing us grief and the way our dog responded to Jake immediately when he arrived was nothing less than miraculous. He is a dog whisperer with a big heart who has real skill in what he does but also is driven to make a difference in this world. He took the time to really understand the problem and educate each of the kids who had a different things to learn to help bring our dog into line. We gained a lot of our experience with Jake, more than we ever anticipated. Thank you!

Jake immensely helped us with our very excitable 4 month old Staffy X rescue puppy. We had an initial session in which Jake addressed our primary issue with biting and taught us various training techniques to address this issue as well as puppy’s self control. Jake answered all of our questions in detail and made sure we understood what we needed to do. He also provided follow up check ins via text to ensure the techniques were working and provided further guidance. After a second session with Jake, most if not all, of our puppy behavioural issues have been addressed and young pup is growing into a lovely companion.

Jake is patient and gives clear directions. When helping us with two dogs that are very aggressive towards one another, he’s given us a great foundation to build on. He also helped me understand how other games/training can help with my pups general impulse and reactivity.

Jake is lovely, caring and very knowledgeable. I’d say his real point of difference is his genuine interest in building a relationship with you and your dog. Maple, my Red Heller x Staffy puppy, loved him immediately.

I have used Jake’s service for dog sitting as well as some training. My twin border collies developed some bad habits and Jake has provided valuable advice, tips and help. My dogs , although still spoilt by me, behave much better… Jake is passionate and loving about dogs , he also fosters bad behaved dogs from shelters in order to rehabilitate and rehouse them. Highly recommended!

We have been through so many trainers in the past and Jake is our favourite. Our dogs love him, and their progress since has been amazing. Our girl Millie learned how to walk so quickly! Highly recommend.

Jake is fantastic!! Would highly recommend, especially for overnight / longer term pet sitting.We have a highly anxious rescue dog (kelpie) that is a lot of work and can be reactive in some situations. Jake has looked after her twice while we went away, and she is always better behaved after a few weeks with Jake. Thanks Jake!!
