Absolutely disgusting services. Owner was rude during first removal after arriving 6 hours late because he had 'forgotten' and was only reminded from a concerned phone call of his where abouts due to all furniture having been moved outside waiting for his so called 7am arrival.Only to receive a phone call from my upset Nanna (whose belongings were being transported) who was verbally abused over the phone by Mel because there was 'too much stuff for what he was supposedly told and quoted' however from the very beginning Mel was informed and explained into detail (with eye witnesses to confirm the into description of what was being transported) and demanded more money. After declining Mel's request he then delayed the arrival date originally given.Further into the run around with Nanna's belongings we continued to receive abusive messages from Mel resulting in the Company ditching the first pick up of Nanna's belongings and withdrawing his services affective immediately only to discover that not only were the gentlemen rude, abusive, dishonest and disgustingly unprofessional they also damaged a huge amount of Nanna's stuff some of which is irreplaceable and held sentimental value.I would under absolutely no circumstances refer this company to anyone no matter how big or small the job may be unless you are willing to experience pure disgusting and indescribable unprofessional services!

This company is not the holding company for various other companies operating under the same name. The professionalism and service for the different Alma Removals are very different.

LIARS, THIEVES & SCAMMERS, that’s the most polite way I can think to describe this company. Where do I start to explain what these pieces of work have done to us? Don’t skip this because it’s too long to read, you will benefit from the 5 minutes it takes.They weren’t the cheapest quote received, but were quite competitive for the job. Terri was very nice on the phone and she’s the one that got them over the line with us to begin with (don’t be fooled by her, her incompetence will shine through in the end). When booked in, we filled out a detailed itinerary of what we had. That afternoon my wife received a phone call from one of the guys saying he can’t fit it & there’s no way they can, my wife explained that previous movers have fit it all in in past times & she was promptly told she doesn’t know what she’s talking about & to ring me for advice before calling them back. That made me irate that he’s happy to talk condescendingly to a woman like that, so I said to ask to our deposit back.My wife then had a follow up call from “the owner” apologising for his employee & that he has a semi trailer curtain truck that will fit everything including quad and ride on mower. When asked who was doing it as we weren’t going to be working with the first guy no matter what, he said he would be on that job with an offsider. Against my wife’s gut feeling, she agreed.A week out from them coming, my wife even rang & confirmed the date and truck size & was assured everything had been booked in.On the day, they were running late by a couple of hours & that suited us perfectly as we were still a little behind with final preparations. When the driver was close he called up and asked for us to transfer the full payment before they got there, my wife followed her gut feeling this time & waited, luckily for us.When they arrived it was in a normal removal truck, nothing like promised & when Tony got out of the truck, I asked if he had a trailer somewhere to fit the rest.The down hill spiral for these scam artists has begun.Tony’s answer was this is it. I explained that the owner had said they are sending a semi out with curtains only to be told that “Mal” shouldn’t be involved in these things & the curtain truck is not only unsuitable for these jobs but is also off the road.After a walk through, he said that there’s no way he can fit it, I said there’s no point being there if they can’t take it all.After a very exaggerated phone call back to the office explaining how much stuff we have including 8 beds (we have a queen, a double, 2 singles & no more) & a 4 bay shed full (I have it all stacked up taking up only 1 bay) & making up a story about my wife saying we had more than we thought, it was time to make a decision.I guess that’s where these guys make their money, people out of desperation let them take half a load instead of the quoted amount & then have to try to find a way to get the rest of their house moved.Our choice was to send them home without moving anything, if you can’t do a full job, don’t even bother starting.When dealing with Terri on the phone, we were denied our deposit as we had added stuff in. Even hopeless old Tony showed up with no paperwork. I had the itinerary we sent then and my wife gave the email date to Terri. Once she printed it out it was like the first time they’d seen it. Weather it be lies or incompetence, it’s definitely not an admirable trait for business.In the end, we lost our deposit to this bunch of criminals posing as a business & had to find another removal company.In our quest, we came across one company that were very compassionate toward us but couldn’t fit us in. The reason they were so compassionate was, they guessed we were using Alma Removals after hearing our story told with no names & we would have been their seventh clean up job after this fraud of a company.Steer clear from these scammers, they deserve to go out of business. Save your money & heartache and take another option, the only reason they got one star is I couldn’t give zero.

As my husband can not reply to the long winded response from this company’s attempt to cover up their incompetence, I would stongly suggest people not to use this company. I was left in tears yesterday as I watched the company drive away without our gear on board as they sent the wrong size truck, even though we were promised a larger truck to accommodate our furniture. Yes we have a big load, but the inventory list that we filled out covered all of our gear, if not more. Even though this company states we “added” items we have the proof that we didn’t, the driver didn’t any paperwork and hadn’t even seen the inventory list. The secretary stated to me previously that they prefer to use their own inventory list rather than the one on the findmover site and I ensured to list everything we own. The driver was extremely rude and totally exaggerated the items we had whilst on the phone to the company. He blatantly lied, saying I had said we added items when I did not state anything of the kind. In their response to my husband, they have stated they were told we had a 48 cube load, I am not sure who has apparently told them this!! If they were told we had 48 cube, why would we get a call on the same day they were emailed the detailed inventory stating they couldn’t fit us, then call back again saying they have larger curtain truck that will? None of their response adds up. When their curtain truck had broken down the company should have contacted us to let us know that they would not be able to accommodate us, rather than showing up with a truck that they have previously explained in a phone call would not suit us! We are now out of pocket our $200 deposit and an extra $2000 to find a mover in such short notice. I am not a person to publicly criticise a company, but after the stress and heartache this company have caused I would prefer no one else to experience this.

There were lots of hold up issues truck sent was not large enough for our things. Truck broke down our things were taken away for 3 days until truck was fixed.there were lots of other issues. Things were left behind.

I had these guys move me in October. They were on time. Efficient and very helpful. Price was the cheapest I'd found. Highly recommend these guys and this business. Cheers

We chose Alma Removalists to move our furniture from Barmah, Victoria to Veresdale Scrub, Qld. We booked them in for the 9th Jan 2019 at 8.00 am. The price seemed very fair & we paid another $100 to have some racking from our shed transported and also paid another $100 for them to hold our belongings over the weekend and have them delivered on Monday. We rang them a week before to confirm & everything was ok.On the Wednesday we got up at 4.00 & started packing all our furniture on the driveway to make it easier for them. All except 3 mattresses & the lounge suite. By 10.30 they hadn’t arrived and we were getting very stressed. We had to be out of the house by Friday. We rang them only to be told their truck had broken down at 4.00 the day before & they would need another 4 days. So there was no phone call from them & no apology. So we had to move everything back into the shed overnight.After our stressed plea they organized for a truck to arrive on Thursday morning at 8.00. They couldn’t fit all the racking in so had to leave behind 2 pieces and they dropped the load off on Sunday morning. So much for our arrangement for Monday morning and the extra $100.Everything was moved without being damaged and arrived in good order. They need to improve their customer service.

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!I did a job for this company on the 12/7/19. They were paid 2 weeks before and I've still not been paid. They stated that the bank took the money on the same day they were paid it.So I'm posting the warning do not have any dealings with this business. As I don't wanna see anyone else hurting financial because of their actions!!!
