Popular but very pretty. Good boat or kayak launch point, with good mobile reception.Strangely no blow flies which was great, other places within the NP seem to have no shortage of these annoying flies.Bring some reef shoes as the shoreline is rocky and not so good on the feet!

Great place for camping with a mesmerising sunset view.Drop toilets are available . The place gets packed during the long weekends so save your spot in advance.Good boat or Kayak launch point. It was freezing cold in April so pack all goodies to protect you.Tumut Market is available in 15- 20 minutes drive.Blowering dam is also one of the attractions.

Great campground with waterfront access to the Blowering Dam. Perfect spot if you want to use the dam for motorized water sport. There are a couple of picnic tables and chairs available, but they look a little old and sad.Great views across the lake, just be wary it can get a little boggy if there is a lot of rain. Damn itself was the site of a water speed world record as well!Certainly worth checking out.

The Pines campground
Pros: nice views over the water & cheap camp (just $6 booking fee). Cons: very popular, even if you visit off-peak there will still be other campers (that aren’t always respectful) so with this comes lots of rubbish left behind & extremely dirty toilets. BYO toilet paper. Lots of flies & mozzies when we visited. We didn’t get the same “peaceful” vibes as other campgrounds we’ve visited. This may be partially because we were unlucky enough to have a school group of teenage boys camp beside us who were very loud, yelling from dawn & into the night. In their defense, their teacher/supervisor was lazy & couldn’t be bothered to tell them to tone down the noise a little & be mindful of other campers.

You will get the similar feeling of a movie when going from tumut to blowering dam … the view is superb and eye catching… all natural and very peaceful.. opposite on the mountain you will see 100s of kangaroos .. you can do camping, bbq and much more…. Dam is big and driving alongside the dam is interesting…
