Matilda Bay Restaurant
Chose here for our last meal before flying home to Southampton UK after two months in Australia. A great choice the food and service was excellent. Cracking location as well. We had the crayfish/rock lobster delicious. Loved the pictures of the flying boats on matilda bay which were made in the Southampton supermarine works and operated from Southampton docks. Will definitely revisit next time we travel to Perth.

We were celebrating my 9 year old birthday. The staff was incredible in attending to us, the food was fresh and tasty. The view was everything. We had an early dinner and place was quiet and convenient for children.

Booked for my birthday 4 adults as this is my favourite restaurant for the past 20 years.Told the special market fish was red emperor then to be told after the order that it was a mistake and it is the gold band snapper. My husband ordered the crayfish and prawn ravioli as a main, when this arrived we were gob smacked that there were only 2 raviolis on the plate overpowered with lemon at a price $55.00. My parents ordered the steak with vegetables which sounded lovely on the menu and turned up in a sloppy mess. My fish was served on a very small plate to make the snapper look large as it was a very small piece surrounded with exactly 4 snow peas as two small thin slices of zucchini. Again very disappointing for what we were charged. We raised our concerns with the waitress who went to the manager , who then came to our table to ask what is the issue. The ravioli was not a main size at all and so overcharged, the only response from the manager was did it taste nice. He had no managerial skills at all and was not fit to address the problems. I am so disappointed as the standard of the restaurant has fallen and the prices skyrocketing. The cheapest wine is $60.00. The waitresses should wear long sleeves to hide all of her tattoos. Very unprofessional. I have been a customer for many years for various celebrations. I will not be coming back, the best and worst kind of advertisement is by word of mouth. Which I will be telling all my friends and customers as I am in the travel industry where recommendations are always asked.

Matilda Bay Restaurant
What a little gem. This lovely restaurant sits on the shores of the Swan so boasts some breathtaking views while enjoying your lunch. Everything was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. The restaurant staff were very attentive without being over bearing and the courses were not rushed so we had a perfect leisurely lunch. We will definitely be back.

Excellent table service, excellent food and a great location. We got a last-minute table on a Friday night and the whole experience was amazing. From walking in seeing old photos from the old Quanta’s airport, jetties and buildings, to amazing sea food and dessert. We had cray fish and prawns and duck fat potatoes, which was all great. We even got served the Cognac warmed up as requested. Vegan options are poke bowl (starter, but quite a big dish) and vegan Gnocchi.

I can not recommend Matilda Bay restaurant for a wedding venue enough! We had our ceremony right next door (organized through restaurant) and had the best day/night ever. The back drop is STUNNING and it made for the best photos. Sianne was incredible from the day we booked right up until the day and beyond. Emails were always replied to promptly and no request was too much right up to the last-minute marquee when I couldn't trust the forecast and it looked amazing! I had nothing but fantastic comments about the food and the staff were all incredible. There are also some lovely locations within walking distance for photos. Can not recommend enough.

Had our wedding ceremony and 2 receptions ( afternoon and evening ) at Matilda Bay. We picked it for the venues amazing views and recommendations for their great food. They didn’t disappoint ! Sianne, the wedding events coordinator, was amazing during the whole process and such a credit to the venue. We booked years in advance, but she was in touch with us during each stage of planning. We had nothing but rave reviews about the food and service from the guests. We loved that we chose to spend our $$ on spoiling those we love with great food and a fantastic celebration on our wedding day. Thanks Sianne and staff from Matilda Bay
