SIXT Car & Truck Rental Tamworth

I have recently started using Sixt at Tamworth because my normal company were unreliable for weekend pickups. Steve and the team have now helped with cars from other centres as dealing with my previous company's call centre was terrible, who aren't across the business. So pleased I can deal with people and the service at SIXT Tamworth is exemplary and repeated at other Sixt centres. Thank you!!!

Spoke to Daniel today about a one-way moving truck hire because I had seen it on their website and was calling to confirm details. He told me they don’t do one-way rentals with trucks. When I said I had been able to get a quote online he said it would be $1100. When I said I would be happy to pay that because I didn’t have any other option he said they still wouldn’t do it. Completely unhelpful, unreliable and misleading.

After some damage to one of their vehicles they tried to charge us for pre-existing damage.When queried they took 6 months to get back to us with a more appropriate invoice which we paid.Then two months later we get another demand to pay the same amount again.Fortunately we had a money trail to prove our case.Won’t go near them again.

Had a great customer service experience when we used Tamworth Sixt to rent a truck to move house. Steve and the team went out of their way to help us from pick up to drop off. Will definitely be using them again. They are friendly, professional and great value. The vehicle was spotless and everything was up to date.

Steve in the office was very helpful! The original vehicle I wanted wasn't available on the website but Steve managed to make it happen for me! Will be my go-to from now for car hire.

They accused me of breach of contract, and just took $275 without a shred of evidence offered to support their claim. There was possessions of the previous users still in the car when I picked up the car, and no apologies, just took the item and said nothing more of it. This suggests the car was not properly cleaned before I collected the car, and the back seat had not been cleaned, as it had traces of dog hair on it. I was given no opportunity to defend myself, once he accusation was made that's it, no evidence, no recourse, and being spoken to like I'm a criminal while I am driving down the freeway. They took my money to get the car specially cleaned because they didn't do it before I collected the car. To be clear, the car was otherwise great and value for money. But, I was taken advantage of and as previously mentioned they offered no evidence or recourse for the accusation, and the staff member I returned the vehicle to said there was no evidence of the breach upon inspection of the vehicle when I returned it. Yet the car was not properly cleaned prior to me collecting it, which they didn't see as a breach of contract, but suggested I was a liar, and just took my money. I'll not be using Sixt again, and recommend looking elsewhere for car hire.

Steve and his team deliver outstanding customer service. Sixt Tamworth has supported the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards for almost 10 years, providing vehicles each year. Thanks to Steve, Sixt supports the Awards state wide.

Although a quote was emailed, no confirmation call was made to ensure a booking but the staff went out of their way to be helpful and finds a truck rental at no notice. Clear advice on how to use the vehicle and refuel it. Fair prices.

It was our first rental experience in Tamworth and I found the service they provided extraordinary and outstanding specially Daniel and entire team. I highly recommend this rental service and hope to see them next time in our next adventure.

Over the past few years with my involvement with Tamworth men of league & the Tamworth Parkinson's support group there has been occasions when we have needed an extra vehicle for a special use. My first phone call would be to Steve seeking his advice on what type of vehicle i would need to do the job & he would have it cleaned & ready to go when i wanted it.He & his crew have always been there to help out for the community if needed.
