Lake Proserpine Picnic Area
If you have time before your flight, take a 30 min detour to Lake Proserpine / Peter Faust dam. The drive is very worthwhile, it’s so beautiful and serene!

Great place to have a lunch and do some water sports. Was not too busy when we went and almost had the entire lake to ourselves during midweek excursion.

Great new facilitiesFree atm but will be a fee as soon as office is finished.Only 20km out of Proserpine.Huge barra on offer in season.Heaps of room.

Not enough covered picnic areas and BBQs. Had to wait for quite a while for others to use the bbq
