Australia's largest Agricultural Field Days and said to be one of the largest in the world is held annual in the third week of August on Black Jack Road West of Gunnedah in NSW Australia. It is always Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. This current list of exhibitor's numbers in excess of 3000.The range seems to cover every aspect of rural Australian life. This includes farming equipment, vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, quads, side by sides, mowers etc.The different cattle breeds are represented also from the beast to the BBQ.Clothing, toys and hand tools are found in abundance. Both Government Departments and Private Educational institutes ate found in the displays.Aircraft are of two types ones for sale usually ultra light weights to helicopter sight seeing trips.Fppd varies from the Roll n Roll van near gate 1 that sells hot foods from Bacon & Egg rolls for breakfast to Dagwood dogs & Chips to the CWA ladies whose $5.00 sandwich range is a bargain basement meal. Coffee is free at the LifeQuip stand along with free biscuits.A number of Establishment businesses eg Banks have customer lounges. There used to be a lot of actual farming demonstrations but very limited now.The other really good news is Admission is free.Parking is free.Normal emergency services such as Police and First Aid are on site. There is a very efficient free parcel collection service that delivers to two gate Blue or Green collection points. You can hire mobility scooters or golf carts or disabled can bring their own.Do however expect lengthy traffic delays from Gunnedah at least to the site 1 hour extra should be allowed.Opening hours are 9am-5pm Tuesday & Wednesday and 9am-4pm Thursday.A website gives lots of information but the best source of accurate up to date information is the free smartphone app AqQuip app

Always a good place to spend a day looking at big boy toys. Although there are more cheap tool junk stalls there now which takes away from the original concept at setup in the 70's.

Greatest agricultural showcase in the southern hemisphere. Lots to see and buy (from shirts to helicopters and everything in between). Lots of food stalls. Ample parking. 3 day event. And it's FREE! You can hire a golf buggy if your legs ain't what they used to be.
