I have been waiting a while to review this place after multiple visits & take aways from this restaurant. To be frank, back when this restaurant started just during the end of lockdown in September-October 2021 the food was awesome & we used to get take aways once every week or so. Once the restrictions lifted, we used to dine in here often. Paneer lababdar is amazing, dal tadka too…..unti we went here to dine in one day & ordered dal tadka & it was stale. We asked the lady at the counter to replace it, seemed like she gave us the same thing again as it was still the same, or maybe the dal they used for tadka was stale already??? Salted lassi, damn it felt like it was made from sea water & was sooooooo salty.This isn’t the only time, we have ordered dal 3-4 times after this, same issue. Feels like the boiled dal they use is from the morning which has already gone stale & yet they use it. I’ll say visit this place, but never order dal, & if you do, just return it & let the owner know & post a review. If this issue never happened, these guys would’ve got a 5-star review from me. Plus, small portions & pricey.

LABABDAR! One of my finest experiences so far. All the items that I have ordered have been so enriching in taste, flavour and spice. While the food tops with presentation , quality and taste, every item on the menu is a must try! ( Chicken Lababdar & Paneer Lababdar .. Definitely!)Also, the fine-dine experience has been flawless, the staff is extremely warm and friendly and they have always made sure to serve their best. Not to forget, the owner has also been so welcoming and is always around personally to ensure that every customer is satisfied with their food & service, which I believe is a very pleasant gesture.It is one of the best Indian restaurants that I have come across so far. On a personal note, this place is worth a try !!

3.5 stars experience. Lababdar is a Nepalese and Indian restaurant located in the Piazza dining area of Top Ryde shopping centre.Went on two separate occasions and both times the restaurant was not extremely busy so walk-in is possible.Highlights were the Prawns Madras, Naan Bread & Chicken Madras. The service was friendly and overall experience was ok.12/02/2022 dinner20/03/2022 lunch

Lababdar serves the best Indian food in the whole of North Sydney region. Service is great - they can recommend dishes to your taste, staff is always smiling, courteous and quick.Do not miss their fried momos, chowmein and slow cooked Dal Makhani with butter tandoori roti. They are truly the best in NSW, and give a tough fight to famous restaurants in India

We had a dinner at Lababdar with a friend, I liked the interior and the decorations of the shop, I also liked the combination of two cuisines Nepalese and Indian.Staff were very friendly and always had a smile on their face.We ordered momo which comes 10 PCs they accepted to do half veg/chicken as well we ordered chicken tandoori and goat biryani,As for the momo and the tandoori taste amazing and chicken tandoori really juicy but for me the goat biryani was a bit over spicy.

First time visit here tonight for Mother's Day. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the lightly pan fried Chicken Momo (Nepalese Dumplings) for our entree and they were so delicious, they came with a spicy tomato dipping sauce which was really yummy. For mains we had the Chicken & Egg Chowmein & the Chicken Lababdar (their signature dish) which was in a velvety smooth tomato gravy, that was spicy but not too hot. We had rice and Garlic Naan to accompany the meal and the servings were generous, so we had some to take home. The other members of our family had the Lamb Korma and the Potato & Eggplant Aloo which they said were also delicious and enjoyable. We will definitely go back for another visit as the Dosa are only available at lunchtime and we want to try them. They had a great wine list and are also BYO.

Extensive menu that includes many familiar dishes and some specialties. Service was very friendly and attentive. Every single curry we ordered was delicious. Naan was fresh. Everything was great except for the gulab jamun which had a very watery texture. I recommend the pistachio kulfi instead.

Absolutely amazing north Indian and Nepalese food, must try are their lababdar curries, we've tried all veggie and all meat options too. Couldn't find a fault with anything, must try if you're in the area!!
