On A Roll

My son wanted Philly Cheesesteak and this place did not disappoint. I have no idea what it's supposed to taste like but it was delicious. A unique little setup in Crows Nest in an arcade creates an interesting atmosphere. To top it off, very friendly staff.

The Philly cheese stake is worthy of all the praise you see on here. I've always liked the idea of it but previous versions from many places had fallen short. I was beginning to lose faith in the concept and then i tasted On A Roll's attempt and it all clicked together

DEADSET best philly cheesesteak ever. So full of meaty goodness and absolutely flavoursome. I'll have to come back to try the rest of the menu!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The guy serving was very nice, but this was one of the most unhygienic experiences I’ve seen in a shop. When I arrived the counter was covered in bits of food which were cleaned up when I arrived. The main issue was the handling of my food which was being touched with bare hands. The guy who was also very sweaty rubbed his hands over his face and then proceeded to touch my sandwich. Tbh made me feel quite sick but was too uncomfortable to leave so paid for the sandwich then disposed of it instantly. Again the guy was really nice but to have a complete lack of awareness of hygiene isn’t excusable

This place is off the hook from Philly cheesesteak to brisket or reuben sandwiches. One of the best and tastiest sandwiches you will ever have. They are massive fresh and jam packed, guarantee you will love it and be back for more.

Had been on a search for a proper rueben and this is it. Asked for double meat after seeing the quality of the pastrami. Best sandwich in Sydney (I know big statement) and the Philly cheese steak is insane too, looking forward to trying the whole menu. Just make sure you get a coffee pick me up cause they ain't a light bite.

The philly cheesesteak is hands down the best i have tried in sydney, and ive had quite a few - so far no one has come close.Truly an authentic recipe, mirroring some of the best recipes from philadelphia (USA).Massive (footlong, or longer?) roll with crispy outside and fluffy inside, soaks up all the cheesy and steaky goodness, this is definitely a worthy cheat meal and i am recommending it to everyone i know.Words cannot describe the endorphin release that occurs upon biting into this badboy.The guys at the shop said they use scotch fillet with a marble score 6, after tasting it i definitely believe them, and they use really really generous portions.Other places i have been to around syd are definitely guilty of skimping on ingredients but the guys at on a roll are the opposite. You can see from the pics that this thing did not/could not disappoint.These guys also do house smoked brisket and phenomenal looking reuben sandwiches.I’m normally a big one for reviews but these guys honestly deserve one.
