If I could give negative stars, I would. It disgusts me a business with such unethical and bad practise can continue to operate.I took my vehicle in simply because I did not have time to take my car to my regular mechanic. I explained how the coolant light had come on. The woman assured me they were the best. Although I asked them to call me before going ahead with any repairs, they took it upon themselves to just call me to tell me the problem was fixed (or so they said) and cost I will pay when I pick my car up because the repair was completed. Only 2 days after, I had to drive from Sydney to the Hunter Halley for work. A short 30 minutes into my drive, my engine started raddling loudly. Of course I pulled over immediately. I popped the hood to find, I was charged $235 for glue to be put over a hose connecting to my coolant. It nearly caused my entire engine to completely overheat. I called Ross Automotive immediately. The mechanic who looked after my car was apologetic. 2 minutes later, the woman who owned the mechanics was completely denying the glue they use to repair my car. She refused to offer any help and said they did not do it and this pressure build up causing the glued tube to blow off my coolant could happen at any time. I then had to pay $200 for a tow truck and another $350 at my usual mechanic (Vw village) to rectify the appalling 'repair' and $300 for a rental car for a weekend to work. It is unfortunate I am unable to upload the photos taken from the damage. Fortunately for me, the negligence and bad practise demonstrated did not cause severe damage to my car or serious harm to myself. Do not ever take your vehicle to this horrendous automotive shop.

Went in to get my performance catalytic converter installed. The guy butchered my midpipe and there was a tiny 2 pipe welded onto my 3" performance exhaust because he had cut off much out of it... There were multiple exhaust leaks which I had to get fixed today by a more reputable exhaust place.DO NOT give these guys and business

Stay away from here!!!We went to this mechanic because our car broke down and we got a service too.They did the service first (so they could charge us of course) then when they tried to fix our car they butchered it and it cost us over $10,000 in the end with $2000 spent on a hire car while we got our car fixed elsewhere.This place changed our brakes and when we drove it the brakes were so soft that i almost had an accident because the car didn't stop. I took it to another mechanic because i don't trust this one at all after how they treated us and broke my car, and the new mechanic said there was AIR in the brake lines and they hadnt been blead properly!!Not only are they bad mechanics, they put my kids lives at risk because of their shonky work.I spoke to my neighbours and apparently this joint has a pretty bad reputation, i wish i knew before my bank account was emptied.

Took my car there last week for a minor service and automatic transmission service.When my wife picked car up in the afternoon there were extras added to the bill, De-carb, Throttle body clean, injector additive.These extras came to $120.00. (Never agreed to any of it)Once i got home i checked to see if the throttle body was cleaned, it hadn't been touched!!I took the car for a quick drive to see if it was driving any different, i only got to the first corner before i relised there was something wrong with transmission.I checked the oil level and it was not even registering on the dip stick, the next morning i had to add 3Lts of auto oil to transmission!!Tried numerous times over the weekend to contact owner, no reply to texts or phone calls.Absolutely pathetic service, i would not trust these guys changing a spark plug on a lawnmower let alone taking your vehicle there!!Stay well clear!!!

I was very impressed with the efficient, reliable and professional service I received at Ross Automotive and Performance Engadine! I had my broken down car towed in with no appointment. The mechanics quoted the work immediately and gave me a very reasonable price and informed be that it would be ready to pick u the first day. True to their word, my car was ready on time and the bill was exactly as quoted! So professional, would highly recommend them!

Took my car in for an inspection, they did work on it without asking. charged an absurd price for it and it did not at all fix my problem. Basically robbed

I had a really bad experience with these guys. They come across so nice, but don't be fooled. I took my car for a service and I received a call telling me I needed 2 new tyres. I knew the two front ones were close so agreed.Instead of replacing the worn front tryes they changed the back ones which were fine.I can only assume that this was a ploy to get the work for the front tryes also.In addition to this they insisted that my car needed new brakes which I knew was not true as they had recently been changed.They basically told me I needed a lot of work that was just not true and I'm not even convinced they did the work that they said they had.I will never go back to this garage

On Wed18Dec'19 My VW van stopped in 40degrees heat. Glenn told me the petrol pump needed replacing $500.Picked it up next morning. 40klm later broke down at bottom of Sydney Harbour tunnel. Broke down 7more times till break down at Hexham bridge Newcastle. The guy who fixed it admitted the problem was the overheating relay, not the petrol pump. Relay Cost $40.Totally ripped off.

I had a pretty bad experience with these guys. Essentially, I paid over one thousand dollars for them to hand me a car that promptly blew up. $400 to tow it home. Tried to talk to them, even asked them to quote me to fix the car using a different method. They just stopped responding. I elected to just drop it as I don't need to bang my head over a car. Had to scrap the car in the end. That's my choice, I get it. But was a bit of a nightmare.

I have used this establishment for both my modern and vintage vehicles for many years. The work has always been very well carried out and at reasonable price. On a number of occasions they went out of their way to source hard to get spares. All my family have their vehicles regularly serviced here.
