Visited a while back for a service and to check on my brakes. Customer service wise, Rob and Heidi were outstanding. Lovely attitudes and helpful advice. Although I was charged $400 for a basic service and they didn't elaborate on the brakes. The handbrake was tightened so much that a few weeks later it snapped (pretty easily) and I had to rush to get a new one before my trip on the Spirit. They also recommended new sway bar links although when I took it to another mechanic they said they looked fine. I don't know but people wise, perfect. Cost and service wise, questionable.

I am extremely happy with the service I received from Rob and Heidi at Autocraft. They somehow squeezed me into their busy schedule to fix my van.Rob and Heidi are very genuine and well experienced. Went to get a quote on shocks. Absolutely terrible service. Looked at me from the doorway to the workshop, asked what I wanted as was reluctant to offer any advice. Was hoping to order shocks, left my number. It's been a week and still no call.

I had a fairly expensive quote, but as I went through the items with the mechanic it became clear that the repairs were necessary and that they had opted out of several replacements that are in the book" at that mileage but unnecessary on assessment of the health of the components in my car.Very happy several months later"

Rob, Heidi and the team at Autocraft provide what I feel is a rarity these days - friendly service that is generous with time and knowledge, that is deeply rooted in of experience and that is delivered with high quality. From my first meeting Rob analysed my clutch issue and then presented options to discuss with different price points. Heidi then ordered a Mantic twin-plate clutch and booked the car in for fitting within the week.Update - Rob, Heidi, and the team at Autocraft have just finished major surgery on my Foz.This included post-track storage, diagnostics, part selection, engine rebuild, gearbox replacement, a general tidy up of the engine bay and many chats along the way.Their knowledge, problem-solving capability, quality of work, communication of options, discussion of costs, and the friendly vibes in the office and workshop are second to none.My car now has a second home at Autocraft and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Since i moved to Hobart I have been going to Autocraft for my car services. Rob and the team has a really good knowledge about cars and the prices are really reasonable. Always recommend these guys 100%

I booked Autocraft for a pre-purchase inspection some weeks ago. During the booking and payment, I made it clear that I have been looking for this particular Subaru for some years & was pretty excited to be close to a purchase. The payment was made up front.Following the inspection I spoke to Rob, the mechanic who performed the inspection. Rob, while debriefing me on the condition of the car, mentioned that during the inspection he told the seller that the car was listed for too low a price.Speaking to the seller afterwards, I found out that Rob told the seller he should be asking more (20% above asking price) and also advised the seller to ‘put the price up and wait’.That put an end to any negotiations and I've missed out on closing on a car I've been searching for for years.As a customer, I trust my interests are held in mind. Rob advising the seller to jack the price was a huge disservice.I've asked for a refund some weeks ago and am yet to hear back with an answer. I'm pretty disappointed with the outcome.The service report itself was brief and functional.

Had an issue with the oil pressure light coming on intermittently with my car. Charged me 450 bucks to replace a sensor (which I had already told them had been replaced by another mechanic), and to tell me the oil pressures. This didn't fix the problem. Took it back a second time, charged another 60 bucks to be told that the bolts on the sump were too tight, and they couldn't look in the oil.Took it to another mechanic and had the issue fixed straight away.Would not recommend this garage.

The service from the team was great! I'm glad I've found a reliable and trustworthy mechanic for my Subaru. Top quality at a reasonable price!
