Ulonga Seaviews

We had booked three nights in this accommodation through a tour operator and had the absolute horror experience.We arrived relatively late in the evening (at 5:20 pm), but still within the check-in times mentioned to us until 6 o'clock. The whole area was absolutely deserted. No one was there. We knocked on several doors and rang the bell at the restaurant next to it but could not find anyone. We could not reach anyone at the number given to us and indicated on their web page.So we went into one of the bungalows that was open and had pillows outside. It looked to us as if it was prepared for guests. Unfortunately, the absolute horror awaited us there. Mold on the walls, dirt and dust, stains on the kitchen, rusted refrigerator grills, hair on the floor, animal droppings in the kitchen. We can confirm all of that from the pictures we took. So we went to the other bungalows, but their condition was not better.In the meantime, we were able to reach someone at the phone number, but he was not the host of the facility. However, the person was able to give us the correct phone number, where we finally reached Kim. On her unfriendly question, what we want now if we are already in a bungalow, we answered with 'check in'. She laughed at us first and then said 'See you in a minute'. So we waited for over an hour and finally left because no one came. It was already late, we didn't want to stay in such a dirty apartment and we had a baby with us who was already crying desperately and had to go to bed!We then booked a beautiful, modern and super clean vacation apartment in Kingscote for the same price and were just happy that it worked out at such short notice.Shortly after we left (over 1.5 h after our arrival and 1 hour after our call) Kim then called that she was now there and had our breakfast with her. Due to reception problems, the conversation continued via text message. She did not respond to my statement that we were not comfortable and everything was dirty.Since we booked through a tour operator, the communication continued through them: she refuses to give us our money back because we did not talk to her in person and did not wait for her to come. As I said, we had a tired, hungry and crying baby with us and waited 1.5h after our arrival without anyone showing up!!!I would not recommend anyone to stay in this absolutely run down dump. This one is not worth a single penny. We are a very friendly family and not used to luxury but we expect clean accommodation, friendly welcome and clear communication.It's a shame these people make their money like this and we can prove our statements with pictures and cell phone data!!!!

Lovely 2 bedroom unit with kitchen facilities, and even wonderful owners who are always eager to help. It has bbq and picnic areas both inside the compound, and across the street on the bank of the American river.

What a fantastic place tucked away very near paradise. Beautifully presented rooms. Kim was a dedicated and friendly host and her family could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable.Seriously good value. Will recommend to all our family and friends.

The managers were very friendly and welcoming and made me feel very much at home. They were more than accommodating with any questions I had and gave me tips of the best places to visit while there. Definitely will be going back to stay there again

If you are looking for luxury and convince you might need to look elsewhere.If you want somewhere quiet away from most people then this one for your list.Rooms are very clean and tidy.WiFi is Ok.On a personal note ( Showers ??? ).As most of Kangaroo Island is on tank water, the water pressure is average at best.A maximum of 5 minutes for showers is recommended.But unfortunately it takes about 5 minutes to get wet enough to have a shower.My general thoughts of the accommodation is good.If you enjoy camping and you are looking for the next level this would suit you fairly well.

Rooms were nice and so were the manager's.

Basic unit, clean and tidy but badly in need of update. Tiny TV, noisy fridge, difficult to operate shower, cooktop and cooking pots need a good clean/replacement. Worst of all, we could hear everything in the unit next door -talking, TV, chairs scraping, footsteps. The wifi did not work the 2 days we were there. Definitely would not recommend.

Lovely little quiet piece of tranquility, Brian and Kylie are both lovely. If you want five star Buttler service this place isn’t for you, however if you are after a nice quiet little get away this is it! The new bathrooms are lovely as well. We will definitely be back.

Basically the same poor experience as Marguerite who stayed 3 weeks ago.Very basic. Hard to operate shower and very slow cooktop. No fan for each room and hard to sleep during summer. Wifi was down while we were there for 4d3n and never recovered. The noise is the worst thing ever during the stay, especially during new year period and charged us for $330 per night for such quality, ridiculous. Also, what we booked was the Coastal Villa that located right in front of the Oyster Farm house but the management seems double booked our reservations hence chuck us to this poorly managed and poorly build partition" board house. Same comment as others

Clean and tidy... Two bedrooms, plenty of beds,, the bathrooms have all been recently renovated. There is a BBQ area undercover. Close to the beach where you can pop your kayak in, have a wade or swim and or take photos of all the Pelicans and other birdlife. There is a walking track nearby, or when the tide is out you can walk the foreshore for ages either side. Kylie and Brian are very welcoming and if you need anything, advice on where to go, etc they will give you all the info you need. There are your usual amenities in the units, heating/aircon, cooking utensils,, all you need is your food... I hope you enjoy your stay as I have...
