Job find is part of the Job Network Providers(JNP), they're here to help individuals and businesses find employees or employers.When I was in-between jobs and studying full time on my diploma, part of my centrelink agreement was to be with a JNP.I was on 'stream 1' which is the most limited service that they can provide, which includes access to a computer for doing resumes and looking jobs on the internet. They also had phones and newspapers and your own case worker, to 'ASSIST' you in finding work.Job find Charlestown and Newcastle failed.All newspapers were months out of date and were never replenished. The computers were out of the stone age, Pentium 1.66s with dial up internet...took hours to complete anything. All of this might have been suitable except that I had these services at home (which mine 100xbetter).The worst problems lay with the case worker/s.All they cared about was meeting their bottom line, getting you off centrelink benefits.That's all fine and great, except they wanted to put all my efforts into job seeking. They even suggested I should put my studies on hold or get rid of it.Although I explained this qualification would set me up for F/t work later on, they didn't want to know about it.With no advice to offer on my chosen career path as they lacked the experience, I had to explain how my industry works, qualifications, jobs etc. and how long until I can attained full time work.They pushed and belittle me to attain full time work.I even got a part job, which apparently was not good enough.Three months later I had a gut-full of the disrespect, discrimination and the free ride they had(Yes they get extra $$$ from the government, for helping).I got rid of centrelink & them, and survived on the part time job until I finished my studies and got full time employment.Jobfinds' goals:-* To get me off benefits = Yes, confirmed.* To provide a service worthy of $45,000+Pa per case worker, and professionalism expected of an Australian business.***JOBFIND CENTRES AUSTRALIA, WHAT A JOKE.***Remember Work directions? Gone! Another failed company.And the remanence folded into, you guessed it...Go with Mission Australia if you can, I heard they half decent.
