D2D lawn mowing services

Disappointing, collateral damage done, no interest in maintaining a customer relationship and as a result this small business is not one we can recommend. Their visit caused as much damages as the price we were quoted on the job so it was certainly not economical for us. We expect with them being on our premises to understand that we are trusting them to exercise due care and make good on any damage caused on their watch. We had engaged D2D lawn mowing services and had a couple good experiences across 3 different properties. The last engagement was to do a mow/weed tidy up, which they performed as required, however, they damaged the sidegate with too much force being applied. When prompted about it, initially D2D attempted to blame it on weather but when further challenged admitted they likely were at fault. We gave D2D the opportunity to make good on this and restore it to it's original state or otherwise reimburse us for getting a dedicated professional to fix it up. D2D became defensive and hostile, insisting they would fix it up but would go cold and non-responsive until we progressed with engaging another professional. D2D would then deploy several attempts to stall the process and say they'll fix it or that we are not doing the right thing by not allowing him to do it via insurance, yet was still not following through with any action consistent to that intent, nor ever even apologised for the damage and inconvenience caused. 2 weeks have passed and we have given up on inviting them to compensate us back, so it's a write off experience and we hope no one else has to go through this.
