Karratha Airport

Karratha Airport. Slowest baggage claim in Australia regularly 40 mins to 1.5hrs. Today nearly setting the record. 400 people waiting and still no bags. 60 mins and waiting.

Travelling alone with my 19mo baby, arrived from Perth and had a 3 hour wait til my bus came to take us to our regional home, management were absolutely unhelpful watching me struggle with my bags and restless toddler, one would assume they would be decent enough to help me make arrangements for my bag so I could entertain my toddler for a few hours in play area, it doesn’t take a lot to try and help mothers, particularly ones who are travelling alone, I have worked on customer service myself and know there is always something you can do for the comfort of your customers! Pity this is my local airport, hope they start hiring people with a bit of kindness and hope this wouldn’t happen to another mother!!

Great small airport. Just need to start international flights to Bali once a week, and it would be perfect.

Pretty good regional airport. Considering the volume of people that go through there could be nicer again. Direct flight to Bali would be nice. Qantas club is a pretty average one but.

Would have to be the worst airport in WA. Dirty. Long wait time to collect baggage on arrival.Bo boards past scanning for arrivals departures. Cannot hear PA announcements due to noise inside terminal.

Qantas staff were late opening the check-in counters, I observed one of the Qantas check in staff being particularly rude to a customer which was not on, the technology at the screening point is very outdated or the staff had no idea what they were doing. It has really gone downhill since I last flew out of here.

Not bad for a regional airport. I've noticed the staff of the cafe/bar will close even if the last flight of the day is delayed and leave 200 people that still want to spend money hungry thirsty and grumpy.

Has to be one of Australia's worst airports. Needs serious upgrading. Very poor service throughout with few smiling faces. Shop is ridiculously expensive, as is the bar. Bar seems to do its own thing.. When flights are delayed, as they often are, the bar still closes leaving 100+ paying customers hungry and thirsty. Qantas lounge is well below par and NO virgin lounge.

Small airport with Qantas business lounge was a great experience.
