A hidden beauty tucked away in the streets of Mont Albert. This incredible cafe brings life to the area with its family and dog friendly atmosphere and most importantly incredible food.I think I may have had one of the best toasties in Melbourne. Great value for the quality of food. Staff were incredibly friendly.Big big tick.

Amazing sandwiches and great service. Coffee is awesome and you can't leave without a slice of something sweet. This place is like a little hug on a rainy day. It does get pretty busy on weekends and not great to sit in and sip on your coffee. But don't think that really matters.

Had a tuna melt, waffles and coffees, everything was delicious and the cold brew was on another level. The place was packed and busy as it can get, but Brent was an amazing host and ensured we had an amazing breakfast.

So extremely close to 5 stars. The coffee is amazing. Like actually amazing.The scones were so god damn good (not dry at all), and delicious.The toastie is an acquired taste, and it’s pretty great. I’d search for other options.It was a litttttttle busy and didn’t particular enjoy hearing the 3 primary school teachers next to us complaining about children for 40 minutes.Atmosphere 3.5/5Food 5/5Staffing 5/5

Thanks for the great coffee, nice food and friendly service. I had avocado toasts and my daughter loved it. The team at matilda make great efforts to provide for everyone. The seating is comfortable and well considered. Bought some pastry for my friend, she loved their savour scone.

I love this cafe! It is so cute both inside and outside. They have a picnic area set up on the grass outside and then multiple tables inside.This is the ideal cafe if you are feeling like a delicious baked good or wanting to try crumpets with various toppings. We tried the ricotta with lemon curd and strawberries. We also shared a mushroom and kale toastie that was delicious. They provide multiple sandwich options as well as salads that can be had as a side.We also enjoyed soy lattes and a soy matcha which were both yummy.Definitely recommend checking out this cafe for a lovely breakfast or lunch.

Loved this cafe! It’s such a small but cute cafe tucked away in Mont Albert. It was so busy that we had to wait 5-10 minutes for a table at 9:30am. Most dishes are pre-made but everything was incredibly fresh. I’m dying to go back for their pastries and sweet treats! Not your standard eggs style cafe but everything was fast, fresh and delicious! Staff also incredibly friendly, always a big plus!

Cool little cafe with a simple menu and an extensive display cabinet. Mushroom and pesto toastie and a frittata were both very tasty. Blueberry scone had some room for improvement. Has a great outdoor space where you can be seated on blankets on the grass with a foldable tray table - good point of difference for the warmer months.

☞︎︎︎ Double Cheese, Ham & Pickle ToastieDouble cheese, double happiness. My favourite moment is when you pull open a cheese toastie, who’s with me xD Chadder and mozzarella~yumm!! Delicious pickles and herb butter, not overpowering at all. Solid good toastie!!☞︎︎︎ Chocolate Croissant☞︎︎︎ Lime & Pistachio Cake☞︎︎︎ Savoury SconesThese other ones were quite average imho. But overall it is a very cute and cosy neighbourhood cafe, puppies and babies friendly. Definitely gonna go and try their brunch menu one day~
