We had lunch at O'Mara's and loved the guinness and vege pie, made as you order. It was delicious! The service was wonderful and the staff are all very friendly and efficient. A lovely experience

Very friendly and welcoming staff.However, the meals were very low quality.With our group of 5 we ordered:-Vegan pizza and parmy-200g rump-Vegan beans with salad (off menu)-Veggie nachoThe pizza base was either added frozen or not cooked enough as it was extremely soggy. Toppings were good, especially sauce but again undercooked.20+ dollars for essentially a very small veggie patty cut in half with marinara sauce shouldn't be called a parmy.The Rump steak was supposed to be medium rare but was medium well. It was also the chewiest piece of steak they had ever eaten. The mushroom sauce provided was outrageously generous (2 cups worth!) But was lukewarm and flavorless.All the salad was a mishmash of random chunks of vegetables in random order, the vegan bean dish had old, wilted and black salad.The chips looked great and were crunchy but unfortunately were extremely bland.Overall a disappointing experience given the atmosphere and friendly staff.Would love to see the food quality improve for when we pass back through again.

Had a Sunday lunch here, it is everything that a pub meal should be, clean, fresh, beautiful food, great value for money. Comfortable chairs. Cold beer. Great job staff.

Disappointed with the rump steak at the restaurant - expensive for a pub steak and not good. Steak was thin and way overcooked for a medium. My husband loved his Guinness pie and bar staff were good so the steak and the guy who brought the meals out were a letdown after seeing good reviews online prior to our visit.

Hi. I booked a table on Saturday 15th April. I was advised that there are two seating times. The first required guests to be finished and out 6.30- 45. Pm. The second was from 7pm til late, I booked the second, upon arrival at 7pm I have as advised that they were running behind 15 minutes and to go through to the bar and have a drink. My party of 4 did as requested, after 15 minutes I returned to the dining room to enquire about my booking, again I was told it wouldn't be long and when it was the staff would come and let me know. Within 5-10 minutes a staff member did come and advise that the table was ready, upon returning to the dinner I was aware that my party were the last two be seated, some 20- 25 minutes pass 7pm. We went to order only to find out that what we wanted was sold out. The point that annoyed was that due to being last into the room, the people who had been sorted prior had been able to get the items we were wanting to get.So we paid more and got steaks which were great, I just don't understand why my party was last two seated even though we were in the bar long before other customers had arrived? It looks like next time I should come to the first seating and just stay until I'm ready to go! This way you get all menus options.Feel very annoyed being treated this way, Hey but I will get over it.

My wife and I dropped in for dinner last night travelling through Stanthorpe, I had the rump with real pepper sauce. I have to say it was the best cooked steak I’ve had ever. Well done to the chef and the very pleasant staff.

We visited for lunch and chose off the specials board. They had lots of delicious options for $12.95 . I must return for the battered chips and fish bites that my husband had! I has the healthy prawn cocktail and it was lovely and fresh.
